Whether this is your first trek in Ladakh or a follow-up adventure, the Nubra Valley to Indus Valley trek offers a perfect balance of cultural immersion and high-altitude adventure. This itinerary reflects our decades of experience operating in India and takes you through some of Ladakh’s most breathtaking landscapes and historic sites.
Your journey begins in Leh at 3,500m (11,483ft), where we explore the ancient monasteries of Shey, Tikse, and Matho, gaining insight into Ladakh’s deep-rooted Buddhist traditions. From here, we drive over the Khardung La at 5,602m (18,379ft), the highest motorable road in the world, into the stunning Nubra Valley, where we visit Diskit Monastery before beginning our trek.
Over six days, we follow ancient trails through summer settlements and remote side valleys, encountering traditional ways of life while gradually ascending to the base of the Lasermo La. The highlight of the trek is the exhilarating crossing of Lasermo La Pass at 5,440m (17,847ft), offering spectacular views of the East Karakoram and the Stok Range. Descending into the Indus Valley, we reach Phyang, where we experience the vibrant two-day masked festival at Phyang Monastery, a true celebration of Ladakh’s living Buddhist culture.
Beyond the trek, we explore Ladakh’s most historic and remote monasteries, including Alchi, Lamayuru, and Likir, where ancient murals and monastic traditions provide a deeper understanding of this fascinating region. Returning to Leh, there is time to soak in the atmosphere of this unique mountain city, where Tibetan and Indian influences blend seamlessly.

Beautiful country. Amazing tour guides. Enjoyed the scenery, the tours, and the hike to the Tiger's Nest Monastery ( which was the highlight of the trip ). The hotels and the food (all buffet) were good. The tour guide and the driver were spectacular. All of the people I encountered in Bhutan were friendly and welcoming.
Thanks to the very swift reply of Thinley and his team an easy booking of my 13 days of stay in Bhutan was complete in 3 days including flights to Paro and e-Visa. Thinley was always responsible to my needs during my stay. This local travel specialist does have excellent connections so that my trekking was led by an experienced mountain guide and a team, which made my trekking experience very safe. They do also have a wide variety of 3* to 5* hotels, which accommodate everybody’s need. As a trekker I chose 3* hotels and was very happy.

My whole team was so adaptable and kind. My guide Spring took me on incredible hiking and cultural journeys with his endless knowledge of history, Buddhism, architecture, animals and nature. Our driver Lahto was amazing at navigating the mountainous roads safely and confidently with added humor. The owner Tsenrig met me for dinner one night because I mentioned I wanted to try a lot of Bhutanese food. All the stops we made were so good and the accommodations were so nice with not a bad meal the whole trip. If you’re still on the fence, get this: I left my coat in a town 2 hours away and got it driven to me in 4 hours later so I didn’t leave without it on my early flight the next morning. Truly not a bad word can be said about this team and their team made my trip one of my favorite traveling experiences I’ve ever had.

This is an excellent trip for fit, aspiring mountaineers. It offers scrambling, glacier travel, ascender and rapelling with stunning views of Ama Dablam at sunrise.
The jungle experience was brilliant. Being surrounded by so much nature and wildlife was a lot of fun. Everyone in Sauraha was really friendly and welcoming. The hotel I stayed at was lovely, with delicious food and a comfortable, spacious room with a great shower. I didn't enjoy seeing so many captive elephants as they looked really sad but I was given the option to not go on the elephant ride so I got an extra jeep safari experience which I enjoyed. I really loved the canoe experience too.

It’s impossible to experience everything this beautiful country has to offer in just 4 days but with this Golden Triangle Tour I received a great first introduction to the vast history, artistry and diversity of India. Sartaj helped me get set up. He was patient and prompt in addressing all my questions. He made this experience special from beginning to end. Each guide who met me was knowledgeable, friendly and kind. I felt very fortunate to have been paired with Arif in New Delhi, Viki in Agra, and Yusuf in Jaipur. I learned so much from each of them. They worked with me and made sincere efforts to adapt to my interests and needs whenever possible. My assigned driver Manik was my constant companion throughout the tour. He always made me feel safe and well cared for. As a female solo traveler I give this tour two thumbs up. I would gladly work with them again if the opportunity presents itself. Reasonable price, quality experience, knowledgeable team, helpful, safe & secure, friendly, patient, clear & prompt communication, and willingness to consider my personal interests. From a rickshaw tour through the narrow streets of Old Delhi, to the magical Taj Mahal and the multilayered grand Agra Fort, to the whimsical Hawa Mahal and the Pink City… This tour left me wanting to return to India again very soon.
I had a great time on this trek and Raj was an incredible guide with great communication throughout. His hospitality, and flexibility were incredibly welcomed and the trek was fairly challenging for one of the more 'moderate' hikes. Loved the experience and could not be happier!
