This was to be my third trip to the Himalayas, the last being the Annapurna Circuit in 2006 (before road building started on the circuit). I was looking for something different this time, a remote camping based trek off the beaten track and away from the relatively crowded paths and overstretched teahouses of Annapurna and Everest Base Camp. Manalsu more than met my expectations.

A relatively short but well-planned and extremely interesting exploration of the Golden Triangle, led by a simply wonderful and knowledgeable local resident (Indira) who steered us through the throngs of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur's streets and shared her local insight into all things India. Be prepared for lots of temples and forts, occasional traffic mayhem and architectural masterpieces. The local preparation and organisation meant we saw in a week what would have taken three times as long travelling independently (which I've done before in India), but we still saw the real country. An excellent trip.

I am back at my office now after 12 days trekking and still dreaming with our trekking around Anapurnas :-) We were there the first 2 weeks in September and fortunately had only 2 days rain. This was a great trip full of wonderful and varied experiences plus a number of highlights including: Bodh Gaya and important Buddhist sites, Varanasi, the Taj Mahal, Shimla and The Golden Temple at Amritsar. Travelling by train proved to be fascinating and a good way to meet people, even if it was not always totally comfortable. Pemba was an excellent tour guide, caring, well organised, knowledgeable and extremely likeable. I would certainly recommend the trip as a good way to explore this part of northern India.

I recently completed the Island Peak climbing expedition and it was nothing short of incredible! From the start to the summit, everything was well-organized, safe, and filled with unforgettable moments.
Dendi, my guide, was an absolute star. His professionalism and experience were evident from day one. Not only did he guide me through the trek and the climb with expertise, but he also shared so much knowledge about the culture, the landscapes, and climbing techniques. His calm demeanor and encouragement, especially during the more challenging sections, gave me the confidence I needed to push through. Whether it was pacing ourselves on the way up, helping with gear, or ensuring we stayed safe on the glacier, Dendi was exceptional.
Prakash, the manager and owner of this tour company, was also fantastic. From my first inquiry, he made the whole process so smooth. The Island Peak itself was a thrilling adventure. The beauty of the Khumbu region combined with the excitement of scaling a 6,000-meter peak made it one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The views from the summit were simply breathtaking – standing there with the mighty Everest in the backdrop was beyond words.

We had a blast going to EBC base camp last september. Me and friends booked our trip via this local travel specialist and they organized the whole trip so well. Guides and porters we also very cheerful and always smiling. We enjoyed the every moment during our trek. It was also my first experience in the remote Himalayan region and the breathtaking views alone were certainly worth the walk. Thank you Nilam and Devi for your assistance during the trek. I had an amazing tour, thanks to Mr. Dinesh Kumar who took a good personal care of me since the first message I dropped here to enquire about some details, and he showed a high amount of welcoming, accommodating and flexibility to change some minor details in the program to suit my needs. I was able to see a lot in the 6 days I spent on the tour, this included tourist sights, traditional markets and a wildlife safari. The car was clean and comfortable, the hotels were thoroughly selected, especially those in Agra and Jaipur which I liked the most, and the guides I met in each city were kind and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this tour and company enough, and I wish them all the success in the future.
