Jalapão is already well known by Brazilians, but not so much by the rest of the world. Located in Tocantins state, Jalapão is an example that Brazil has much more to offer than beaches and the Amazon Rainforest. This tour is an opportunity to discover a secret gem hidden in the middle of Brazil. This region is perfect for those who enjoy adventure tourism and ecotourism.
Amongst the most popular attractions is the Cachoeira da Velha, an enormous waterfall approximately 100 meters wide and 15 meters high; the orange Dunes with its almost 40 meters, one of Jalapão’s most unique sceneries; and the small towns of Mumbuca and Prata, communities made by descendants of escaped slaves, where it is possible to visit and live the local culture. Also, there are Serra do Espírito Santo, a rock formation where it is possible to enjoy the native nature; Cachoeira da Formiga, a charming waterfall of emerald waters; and the Fervedouros (Boilers), with their transparent waters where people can float.
This region has been protected with the creation of parks, conservation units, and Environmental Protection Areas, showing concern with the preservation of this important natural patrimony.
You will have the opportunity to visit several natural attractions and have cultural experiences. Explore the Jalapão State Park region on this adventure through the Brazilian Cerrado. Be amazed by the abundance of waterfalls, rivers, and unique scenery, full of large orange dunes and towering rock formations. Relax in the boilers and natural pools with crystal clear water.
Allow yourself to get to know this unique destination by exploring breathtaking sceneries in the Brazilian savannah!

As my wife mentioned, we made this tour to Argentina and absolutely loved it. The tour is great because it combines three destinations that we were willing to visit this time in Argentina which were Buenos Aires city, Iguazu Falls and the northern region of the country, which are all very different from each other. Great experience!

Great trip. Beautiful archeological sites and cities included in the itinerary. Would have been helpful for many travelers to know that for the two nights at Machu Picchu you will need an overnight bag for the train ride and hotel stay as your luggage is likely too large for the train to Machu Picchu. Cusco was a great city to walk around and sample a lot of good restaurants.
