It was absolutely perfect! Literally one of the most fun trips I’ve been on, the format was so perfect having Jose as a guide to take us around, it helped me feel safe and it was so great doing it with someone who knew the area and the history. The trip was super. The Salt Flats and the desert crossing were the absolute highlight. I would recommend this trip. Also the pace and places were good. The only negative thing was the guide. If the guide is not good, then it affects the whole group trip.

Your arrangements gave us exactly what we wanted. But we were surprised that this was not a group tour as we thought it would be. Each hotel and excursion was separate, as opposed to being with the same group and tour guide the whole time. However, it worked out fine. We especially loved the hotels selected by the tour company because they were centrally located and we could easily walk around the various cities.

The timing, the excursions and activities, the restaurants, accommodations and travels were all so amazing, and there was never a dull moment. No wait I take that back. The dull moments is when we went to bed. I never wanted the day to end and I never wanted this trip to end. From the ceo to the new friends I made in our group, it was absolutely amazing. The wildlife, the beaches, the food, the parties, the home stay, I can’t even get started on the home stay. What a wholesome moment. The families were so sweet and welcoming.

I booked this trip for my daughter and me. She wanted action and adventure, every day, and this trip delivered. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotels. Much nicer than I expected, given the low cost of this to her. Most of the transportation was fairly high-quality as well. The bus too, and from the rafting was nothing fancy, but certainly nothing to worry about.
Be prepared to spend a little more time than you might expect in transit. That's a function of Costa Rican infrastructure. Lots of one lane roads means travel between cities can be really slow. But the scenery is gorgeous. If you just consider it part of the adventure, and enjoy it, it's not a problem.
I highly recommend this trip. It had everything we wanted.
