As my wife mentioned, we made this tour to Argentina and absolutely loved it. The tour is great because it combines three destinations that we were willing to visit this time in Argentina which were Buenos Aires city, Iguazu Falls and the northern region of the country, which are all very different from each other. Join us for this adventurous 4-day trek to visit the legendary Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. The trek takes you through the enigmatic Inca Trail, which connects the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu. During the trek, explore the numerous pre-hispanic ruins scattered along the Inca Trail, such as Puyupatamarca and Wiñay Wayna.
The trail, which runs through the Andes mountain range, travels through a variety of Andean ecosystems, including cloud forest and alpine tundra. The Inca Trail ends at the Sun Gate on Machu Picchu mountain, which provides a unique view of the citadel during sunrise. The trek ends with a guided tour of Machu Picchu and includes bus and train tickets to return to Cusco.

Do you want to visit the famous Macchu Picchu but are short on time? This tour takes you to the sacred Macchu Picchu site and back in just one day.
At 5 am we will pick up you from your hotel in Cusco and bring you to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here is where we board our train to the town of Aguas Calientes. Once in Aguas Calientes, our guide will take you by bus along an upward zigzag path to reach the incredible wonder of the world, Machu Picchu, known as "The Lost City of the Incas".
Once in the citadel of Machu Picchu, you will have a guided tour to visit the main venues of the city including the main plaza, the circular tower, the sacred solar clock, the royal quarters, the temple of the three windows and the cemeteries. The tour will last for more than two hours. At the end of the tour, you will be given free time to stroll around the citadel and visit Machu Picchu on your own. As an option, you can hike to the sun gate or Inca bridge.
After exploring the site, we return to Aguas Calientes for lunch in one of the many restaurants (not included). In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 8 pm.

We had a fabulous nine-day tour, including the two day Inca experience, Inca trail/Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain. John, our contact, met us at the airport and helped us generally acclimate to the new culture.
We cannot praise Adolfo, our guide, enough for his knowledge, experience, and attentiveness to our needs. He was so fun to be with. Our driver, Edgar, was excellent. All over, a fantastic adventure.

This was by far the best tour we made before heading out to Peru. The trip included getting picked up from Airbnb and dropped off at the Vistadome train station. Then from the train station to the bus up to Machu Picchu. There was always a guide from the tour company waiting for us. We were never left to wander what the next step was. Our guide at Machu Picchu was very knowledgeable on the history of Machu Picchu and was able to answer all our questions. After Machu Picchu it included a lunch buffet which we also enjoyed. Overall we were left with a beyond great experience.
