    This 8-day Turkey tour takes you from bustling Istanbul to the Mediterranean at Kusadasi and then inland to the beautiful scenery of Cappadocia. The itinerary is designed to combine some of Turkey's classic highlights in a week's visit, balancing bustling cities, beautiful scenery, ancient ruins and modern Turkey. You'll stay in a mix of 4-star and boutique style properties along the way. Starting in Istanbul, the beating heart of Turkey and historically a vitally important connecting point between the continents of Europe and Asia, we visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Spice Bazaar, Hippodrome and take a cruise on the Bosphorus before flying south to the Mediterranean coast at Kusadasi. We have two nights here, and a tour to the nearby ruins at Ephesus. One of the best preserved ancient Greek & Roman sites in the whole of the Mediterranean region, this is a spectacular site with a fascinating history. We'll also visit a village famous for producing local fruit wines, and learn about the importance of carpet making in Turkey. Our next stop is at the stepped calcium travertines and hot pools at Pamukkale, before we continue into the centre of Turkey along the ancient Spice Route, passing old caravanserais and visiting the Mervlana museum at Konya on the way. This brings us to picturesque landscape of Cappadocia where we visit the strange rock formations, cave chuches and 'fairy chimneys' in the Goreme valley and venture down into one of the labarynthine underground cities built by Christians centuries ago to hide from persecution. The tour then finishes with a drive (or optional flight) via Ankara back to Istanbul where extra nights are available to spend more time exploring the city.

The Groot Constantia winery lunch & wine tasting were fantastic, and our walking tour through Kirstenbosch Garden & the Tree Canopy memorable.

While travelling across to Robben Island, you will have fantastic views of Cape Town and Table Mountain. This island became one of the most recognisable prisons in the world due to the 18-year incarceration of Nelson Mandela in this facility. The tour of Robben Island incudes a nostalgic stop at the cell of this world-famous leader, which has been preserved in the same condition as it was while he was staying in the facility. Learn more about the prison’s history and the plight of the prisoners from your guide, a former political prisoner with a wealth of information to share. We will drive you back to Cape Town and drop you off at your hotel after the tour is over.

    Join us on this half-day trip and embark on a scenic, guided tour of Durban and eThekwini municipality and learn about the diverse culture and history of this place during a visit to its various landmarks. We will pick you up from your hotel or accommodation in or around Durban (in case your accommodation falls within ten kilometres radius from Durban city centre) and take you to the Victoria Street Market, where you will get the chance to shop for African accessories, clothing and souvenirs. Next to the Victoria Street Market is the Zulu Medicine Market where your guide will take you on an informative tour of Inyanga (Doctors) Lane. The marketplace is a unique place where Zulu culture has survived in the modern urban environment. Moses Mabhida Stadium is next on the itienrary. This landmark has become a defining feature of the Durban skyline. It has a high-rise platform on top of its arch which is accessible by an elevator called the Sky Car for an additional fee (not included in the tour price). Your tour guide will show you around the exterior of the stadium and explain its history, use and significance. You will be given time to go to the sky platform if you want to. Next, visit uShaka Marine World’s Village Walk, located along the famous Golden Mile Beachfront on Durban’s OR Tambo Parade. uShaka is home to Durban’s most unique shopping experience, a shopper’s paradise in an open-air environment that offers guests a world of entertainment, fun, shopping and dining. The tour includes a stop at Durban's beautiful botanical garden, the oldest such garden in Africa, established in 1849. Your guide will show you some of the interesting and beautiful features of the gardens and give you extra time to explore the area on your own. Head for the KwaMuhle Museum now. This museum was once the headquarters of Durban’s Native Administration Department and the centre of Durban’s harsh system of labour control. It has now been transformed into an apartheid museum that seeks to reflect Durban’s urban growth and the history of its residents. It also houses a very interesting HIV/Aids exhibition that educates the public on the situation of the disease in South Africa. The other landmarks you will see during this tour are city hall, Durban Harbour and the Shiva statue at the Umgeni Hindu Temple. We will drive you back to your accommodation after the tour is over.

KwaNogqaza or Howick Falls is approximately 95 metres in height and lies on the Umgeni River. The local Zulu people named it the “Home of the Tall” referring to its height. Next to the fall lies a quaint old section of Howick that houses a number of historical museums and antique stores. Next, head to the Nelson Mandela Capture Site and Apartheid Museum. The Capture Site boasts a large sculpture of Nelson Mandela made up of multiple steel columns. Tourists at the Capture Site are required to stand 35 meters away the steel columns to clearly see the large bust of Nelson Mandela in focus. Facing west the impressive sculpture is a unique monument for the local Howick community. The Apartheid Museum is dedicated to Nelson Mandela’s life and his struggle against the Apartheid government. Next is the "Valley of 1,000 Hills" to experience traditional Zulu culture at PheZulu Cultural Village and visit the Reptile Park. Visitors are taken into a traditional Zulu sibaya or homestead to experience traditional Zulu life before modernization. Inside a traditional Zulu homestead there are thatched huts placed in a circular position, with the cattle placed in the centre as a form of protection. At PheZulu homesteads the thatched huts are surrounding the auditorium which faces the beautiful valley. The local PheZulu guide will take you on a guided tour of the PheZulu sibaya and explain the Zulu cultural practices to gain insight into Zulu traditions during the 1800’s. The local Zulu dancing show serves both educational and entertainment purpose as local performers sing and dance to beautiful traditional Zulu songs with complete Zulu attire. PheZulu also has the Reptile Park. The local guides are very knowledgeable and eager to take you around the park and share interesting facts about the animals in the park. PheZulu Reptile Park has diverse reptilian wildlife on site, including crocodiles, alligators, snakes, tortoises and iguanas. The guides will let you touch or hold some of the animals, including a small crocodile and the giant Burmese python, just long enough to take a photo.
