Great all around trip. The guide (Jeff) was organized, attentive and fun to be around. Briefings each day were informative and useful. The food was excellent, camp sites were good. The rafting was very exhilarating. The equipment was in good condition and they were prepared for mishaps. We had bike chain break but they had spare bike readily available. You could push yourself as hard or as easy as you felt comfortable.

The Pacuare’s class 3 and 4 rapids are suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers, ages 12 and older, who are ready for adventure and being physically active all day. After an early pick-up at your San Jose area hotel, we will drive to Cartago – Costa Rica’s historic capital city – and through small towns and countryside to the rafting hub of Turrialba. We’ll stop for breakfast (included) and afterward head to the Pacuare River put in. At the river, your guides will outfit you with rafting equipment and give a paddling explanation and safety talk. Then the fun begins!
