Although described as a fast paced tour(which it was), it was a good introduction to visiting Portugal with many highlights as well as vising some lesser known parts. As someone who had not been to Portugal before and as it is so easy to get to from the UK, it was a taster for maybe visiting the country again and exploring other regions.

Hike up and down the terraced vineyards that were built from the schistose rocks from the river up to the hill tops and delight in the rich regional cuisine tasting the world-famous Port and Douro wines from the region.
This self-guided hike tour begins in Sabrosa, birthplace of Ferdinand Magellan and one of the most emblematic towns in the region. Walk along trails through scenic environments, discovering gems such as the noble wine-making village of Provesende and Lalim—a stopping place on the Cistercian monk’s wine route. You will also visit Pinhão, a town in the heart of Douro where the majority of the finest Port and Douro wine estates are located.

Arrábida Wine Tour
Experience the wine, the sites and the beautiful scenery of the Arrábida Region on this full-day tour from Lisbon.
On the drive, admire the Tagus river bay while crossing the Ponte Vasco da Gama, one of the longest bridges in Europe at 17km long! Then, ascend the Pamela Castle Tower for an amazing photo opportunity. Drive through the Arrabida wine region, passing many vineyards, cork and olive trees. Once in Arrabida, we'll visit a beautiful local-family-owned wine farm in the heart of Arrábida park, where we will taste some wine. Take spectacular photos from the highest point of Arrábida Natural Park, with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful Portinho da Arrábida beach.
We'll stop for lunch at the picturesque fishing village of Sesimbra and have some time to relax on the beach. Then, enjoy two free wine tastings (Moscatel and red wine), while on a guided tour of an old wine cellar in the village of Azeitão. Finally, we stop at the Cristo Rei (inspired by Rio de Janeiro's Christo Redentor) for great views over Lisbon, before returning to Lisbon via the 25th April Bridge.
