Perfect itinerary. It covered all of the places I’ve always wanted to see. The driver and tour director did an excellent job. I had a great time. The bus was new and very comfortable, but sounded like an infirmary with people coughing and sneezing. I managed to avoid the spreading respiratory illness until the last day of the tour. Even the tour director got sick. The day I got home I tested positive for COVID, as did other fellow travelers who tested. It was my first ever bout with COVID, and I was out sick for a week. I wish the people who were sick on the bus were encouraged to wear masks, although it would have been hard to avoid, since we often ate together, etc. The irony is that I chose a bus tour rather than a cruise in the hope that fewer people would mean less chance of illness. Still, I’m glad I took the trip (it really was fantastic), but wanted to forewarn others the risks are still out there.

What an incredible experience of a part of Central America. Guatemala took my breath away and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering Latin America. The activities, the pace, the nature and cultural experience was a perfect balance. My only regret is not staying on the second leg of the tour to continue onto Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador.

Excellent trip. Hotel locations and services were excellent. The tour director was excellent as well as all of the transportation on the 4 islands and between the islands. The first hotel (Twin Fin) in Waikiki was not luxury but adequate, especially since we did not spend much time in the hotel. The other 3 hotels were excellent.

Overall I loved the trip, and what was offered. Again my only complaint is the accommodations. Basic is fine but cleanliness and pride of ownership should be important. I would definitely consider another G Adventures but the accommodation will weigh heavily on that decision. I love the 18-39 age group, but with upgraded accommodation.

I had an amazing time on this trip! G Adventures continues to impress me, and I’ll keep recommending them to all my friends. I did the Merida to Yucatan tour back in 2023, and after just completing the Mexico City to Puerto Escondido leg, I honestly wish I had enough time off to do the entire route in one go. This tour is such a unique blend of adventure, relaxation, culture, and beauty, all at a very fair price! Even though I came home with a staph infection (worth it!), the experience was so much fun that I can’t complain. The memories, the people, and the adventures far outweighed any downsides. Absolutely wonderful experience. Travel Director and Driver were top notch. Victoria is lovely and the Canadian Rockies are indeed spectacular. Nice group of people from around the world, everyone got along and had a great time. Some were worried about visiting Jasper after the fires last year but despite the widespread forest damage, it was still a highlight of the trip, especially the visit to Maligne Lake (with the boat ride and outstanding lunch at the historic lodge). Would absolutely recommend this trip.
