This travel company simply made it all work with the best 3-day desert adventure from Marrakech via Merzouga. Beautifully scheduled, from the drive across the Atlas Mountains to the enchanting Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou—no stop was boring. The highlight of this trip was a sunset camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes combined with an unforgettable night under the stars at a luxury desert camp while listening to traditional Berber music. Comfortable accommodations, a very knowledgeable guide, and every moment was a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. The only thing I would change is that the first day - coming right after most people had taken trans-oceanic flights and still had jet lag - was too demanding (flying to Luxor, touring Karnak before checking into ship). It would have been better to have a lighter Day One to allow for rest and time zone adjustment, and do Karnak on the way back.
The all-women's tour group and the Tour Director were outstanding and hugely enhanced the experience.
Tipping became a constant irritant and would be better if Tour Director handled tips and Insight appropriately raised the package cost, to alleviate that daily chore (ensuring correct currency & denominations, ATM visits, etc.). PS - bring American dollars in small bills.
Overall, a fascinating country, knowledgeable and constantly helpful Tour Director, and a good balance of historic and current experiences. Aswan (and the Cataract Hotel) was a definite highlight, and don't pass on Abu Simbel. It is worth the cost; as is the Aswan boat tour of the Nile (two options worth doing).
We recently completed this tour, and it was an absolutely mesmerizing experience. From the moment we left Marrakech, we were taken on a journey through some of Morocco's most stunning landscapes, including the majestic High Atlas Mountains, the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, and the vast, serene dunes of Erg Chigaga. The drive was long but scenic, and every stop offered a chance to appreciate Morocco’s history and natural beauty, from ancient kasbahs to lush oases. Spending the night in the desert under a blanket of stars was a highlight—our camp was luxurious, with comfortable beds and an authentic Moroccan ambiance. Riding camels across the dunes at sunset was an unforgettable experience.
A huge part of what made this tour so special was our driver, Hakim. He was not only an excellent driver but also a fantastic guide, sharing his extensive knowledge of Morocco’s history, culture, and geography. Hakim made us feel safe and well-cared for throughout the entire journey, and his friendly demeanor and sense of humor added a personal touch to the trip. His expert driving skills ensured a smooth and comfortable ride, even on the rough desert roads, and he was always ready to make stops for photo opportunities or interesting landmarks. Overall, this tour was a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the Sahara in style.

A great tour full of variety. Although there was a fair amount of travelling involved, it was definitely worth it for all the different experiences we had . Visiting local families and eating with them , alongside walking in the mountains were a highlight for me. Hassan was a wonderful guide, informative, kind and caring to all. He took us to some amazing local restaurants every night, which we would never have found!
