We (a group of five students) really enjoyed our 5 day trekking tour through Langtang Valley - but also the two days of sightseeing that were included in the package. We were driven around in a private jeep and had the opportunity to see various temples. Moreover, we were already accompanied by our trekking guide during the first day of sightseeing before the actual trek so that we had the opportunity to get to know each other beforehand. Our guide was highly experienced and had climbed Mount Everest already multiple times. He was very friendly and caring. For example, he organized additional blankets for us when it was very cold at night. Furthermore, during the walks, he adapted to our pace and let us take breaks when we needed them.
All in all, we can recommend this trek to anyone who is interested in trekking.

This was our first trip to the Himalayas and we had the absolute greatest experience ever, thanks in total to the service from the local operator and our sherpa/guide Chandan Magar. Chandan proved to be more then the most capable and knowledgable of guides, always looking after us etc., he was also very personable and fun to spend with me during the trek ! We had many great laughs, eclipsed only by the wonderful places he took us to see. His knowledge and grasp of everything Nepali gave a deep insight into much more then just the trekking and mountains whcih Nepal is famous for. If you do a trek in Nepal ask first for Chandan Magar and you know your money is well spent! Sujan, who booked the tour and everything else for us in Kathmandu, was also not only a great professional but a good friend to have when overseas and far from home. All in all what else can I say other then that I cannot wait to do this all again in future!

This trek takes you to the hidden kingdom of Upper Mustang in Nepal.
The region of Upper Mustang is located in the north-central area of Nepal bordering China. Trekking into Upper Mustang is one of the popular treks. Mustang was made open for tourism only two decades ago as the government has kept this slice of Shangri-la closed to foreign visitors.
Thus, the region is also known as ‘the forbidden city’ or ‘Little Tibet’. The trekking trails of Mustang are filled with remote valleys, ancient settlements, deep forest, dry terrains. The prime feature of the trek is the visit to the capital of Mustang, the city of La-Manthang. Lo-Manthang is a walled city located in high altitude deserted terrain with age-old monasteries, caves where Buddhism is practiced by the locals.
Upper Mustang trek is a unique journey like being back in time and trekking in the high altitude deserted land with unparalleled majestic beauty.
Please refer to the itinerary section for day-by-day activities.
Travel to one of the most secluded valleys in the Himalayas during this 18-day, guided tour. A slice of paradise lodged between mountains, the Tsum Valley was opened to trekkers only recently and hardly sees foreigners even now. We will drive you from Kathmandu to Soti Khola after taking you on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.
Trek through the lower-lying areas of Gorkha district, past Machha Khola, Jagat, and Lakuwa to reach Chumling, your first stop in the Tsum Valley, which derives its name from the Tibetan “Beyul Kyimolung” which means "the Valley of Happiness".
Explore this beautiful, untouched region, see the magnificent Ganesh Himal and Mount Manaslu, and visit famous local monasteries like Mu Gompa and Rachen Gompa. Observe the life of the villagers whose primary occupation is cattle herding. Also take a trip to the cave where the famous Tibetan mystic Milarepa is said to have meditated before it is time to start your downhill journey to Soti Khola, following the gurgling Budhi Gandaki River.
The route to the valley diverts from the main Manaslu trail midway through the journey. This trek is ideal for those who want to visit one of the least explored areas in the Himalayas where life seems to be frozen in time and Buddhism binds the people together and guides their everyday activities.
We will drive you back to your hotel in Kathmandu after the trek is over. For more details, please go through the itinerary below.
