The Ultimate South India Experience

Incredible trip! This itinerary is well crafted to show off all Southern India’s highlights; from tea plantations, temple cities, sleepy coastal towns, wildlife and houseboats to all the friendly locals! Biju, our guide was stand-out with his incredible depth of knowledge and insight into his home state of Kerala as well as the whole of India, he really did make the trip! Vinod, our driver was impeccable navigating the twisty roads of the Western Ghats with precision. All in all, a once-in-a-lifetime trip that I will never forget! Highly recommend.

This was a trip of a lifetime. From the Taj Mahal, the Hotair Balloon ride, the beautiful mosques and temples of Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and learning the customs and culture of a very happy humble and honest people, there is no way I could fault any portion of this trip. Finding a tiger is pretty special, too.

Everything about this incredible tour was over the top. Especially our tour guides who added unexpected delights each day. The accommodations were good to great, the options plentiful, the size of the group manageable with space to spread out. Pre and post extensions were first rate. My first, but certainly not last Collette tour.

This trek is a great introduction to all that is Nepal. A full-on itinerary including short trek, history, wild life, city culture, rafting and fabulous views. Well lead with Udaya. A leader who went out of his way to make sure all went smoothly. To bear in mind....although not as many as the Annapurna sanctuary trek, stone steps are prevalent on this trek and at some tea houses clients had to share 4 to a room because of the shortage of rooms and the larger group (14) I would definitely recommend this walk for a first timer in Nepal or indeed a seasoned trekker (like me) who wanted a change from the "mainstream" trekking but who loves the country

Fabulous tour - great cycle routes and much more

We did this tour after a week in the North doing the golden triangle so it was nice to sample the north and the south of India - they are very different. The cycle routes were fabulous and as were in the main flat within most people’s ability. The tour should be named cycling the backwaters and coast of Kerala as more time is spent in the backwaters than on the coast - not a complaint as the backwaters are fabulous. The night on the houseboat was amazing and the home stay was better than we expected. A great way of seeing the area.

Best explore trip ever, with best guide ever. The mix of activity and visits could not have been better balanced. Full on without being exhausting. I personally would have liked more time at the mountain museum but appreciate others might not. Our guide, Udaya, did his utmost to accommodate those that found the walking a challenge, (even though the trip notes clearly described what to expect). Udaya’s knowledge, enthusiasm and clear love of his country enhanced the trip, even on the long bus journeys there was regular commentary on what we were seeing and short stops of interest. He had concern for our welfare and even joined in with us in a hotel Christmas cake mixing competition after our trip had officially ended. This whole experience will take some beating.
