My partner and I had the most amazing experience with this local travel specialist. We completed the three high passes + EBC trail, with my partner even going on to summit Island Peak (successfully!). Our guide Kanchha Tamang made sure we had the best experience - a well planned itinerary to ensure we acclimatised properly, looking out for any signs of AMS, looking after us when we both got sick with viruses on the trail. We had flexibility to change our itinerary a bit to maximise our chance of the best views as we were walking quicker than expected. Kanchha always made sure we had fun, made great memories, learned lots about the culture and history of the regions we were in, and supported us so well through what can be a pretty challenging few weeks on the trail. We miss him already!

And another special mention to Rajendra who managed our trip and who goes truly above and beyond for his clients. When we mentioned to Kanchha we were interested in exploring Pokhara after our trek had finished, he called Rajendra who then arranged everything for us (flights, accomodation, recommendations for activities, booked us in for paragliding). When we got stranded in Lukla for a few days due to grounded planes, it is due to the tireless efforts of Kanchha & Rajendra that we were able to get out of the mountains on a helicopter and continue our holiday.

Lobuche Peak actually includes two different summits, East (6119m.) and West (6145m.). An uninterrupted edge links them but there is a significant distance between the two. The east is identified as a trekking peak while the west is regarded as an expedition peak (meaning that it is only for experienced climbers). This climbing trip is for Lobuche East Peak - a climbing peak, and hence a relatively easy climbing peak (which can be done also if you do not have any previous climbing experience), firstly climbed by Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa in 1984.
Lobuche East Peak, an eye-catching trekking peak, is a great little challenge. Its South Face goes down to the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier. Lobuche East is ascended by moving up a marked notch hiking up steep snowy slopes. Most of the times, the peak is ascended on a ridge leading up to the summit.
Lobuche East peak will reward you stunning views of mighty Mt. Everest as well as many peaks in the Rongbuk region of Tibet. The ecstatic period you will get after scaling one of the famous Peaks in the Everest region will be a memorable experience, rewarded among others by stunning views. Other great mountains that you will witness are Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Makalu. I recently completed the Island Peak climbing expedition and it was nothing short of incredible! From the start to the summit, everything was well-organized, safe, and filled with unforgettable moments.
Dendi, my guide, was an absolute star. His professionalism and experience were evident from day one. Not only did he guide me through the trek and the climb with expertise, but he also shared so much knowledge about the culture, the landscapes, and climbing techniques. His calm demeanor and encouragement, especially during the more challenging sections, gave me the confidence I needed to push through. Whether it was pacing ourselves on the way up, helping with gear, or ensuring we stayed safe on the glacier, Dendi was exceptional.
