We had a very happy tour group of 8, ranging from about 63 to 70 years. The trails were challenging and technical and very beautiful. Our guide Albi B. was amazing. Alibi’s command of English was very impressive and he was easily able to communicate with our group. His knowledge of history and local folklore kept us very informed and entertained. The transfer vehicles were always on time. The local food was farm to table- very fresh and healthy. We had 3 vegetarians in our group and they seemed quite satisfied with their meals. The accommodations were quaint and rustic, as expected, and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The tour was a unique way to explore the Albanian alps.

What a great trip! Full on. Some long days. But what a way to tick off things on your bucket list. The accommodation was as expected, mixed: querky, comfortable and, at worst, indifferent. Eating out was excellent and not too expensive. We chose the trip because of the itinerary, which was brought to life at every stage by our guide who was one of the best we have had on any trip. I had such a fantastic time on this trip. The guide Jorges was passionate, knowledgeable and understanding to everyone. The places we stopped and the camaraderie we enjoyed on the Camino was down to the itinerary and the organisation of our guide. The trips structure was flexible and considerate of everyone’s needs, the guide was able to organise checkpoints throughout the day with the driver and people were able to skip parts if they had an injury or were finding it difficult. The local guides were very passionate and knowledgeable. I’d definitely recommend this trip if you’re wanting to do the Camino.

We saw a lot of Sapin which was what we wanted. The itinerary was great. However, it was a bit rushed and a lot more walking then indicated. The coach was very nice, comfortable and well equipped, nice big window as long as you were not seated by a partition of the windows. The hotels were for the most part very nice. The hotel in Valencia was terrible.

We just returned from our trekking in the Amalfi Coast. It was truly an amazing experience. The Agriturismo was comfortable and relaxing. The family cooked us delicious meals. We met a fantastic group of people. Our guide, Nigel Lewis was knowledgeable, humorous. The experiences offered throughout the week: pasta making, pizza experience and Pompeii/Herculaneum were fun and would encourage everyone to participate in them. The hiking was challenging at times but Nigel helped mitigate this. There were breath taking views!!! Can’t wait to take another trek with Explore!
