I literally only booked this trip because I wanted to go to Machu Picchu. The day before we were supposed to go on that excursion the local indigenous peoples began striking for equitable resources related to all the tourism that their lands bring into the country. My partner and I supported that effort and we were going to be highly disappointed if we did not get to go. With some creative work and networking, he was able to get us on the first day trip after the strike broke. This was our first post-Covid trip. Peru was super safe regarding masking and safety measures. Once again, cannot say enough about Zema and the people at Expat. This is my second trip with the company and I will continue to be a customer!

Very happy, the tour was mostly as expected, travel was mostly smooth and we got to see and do lots of things in a month which was amazing. One thing I would rate low is the booking experience, website was down, multiple people I spoke to were completely lost (one was very helpful and she’s probably the reason I booked because I was about to give up) the itinerary disappeared afterwards and when I contacted you I spoke to another completely lost person who was massively unhelpful. no one thought to give me heads up that i need to provide evidence of onward travel for Peru and I almost didn’t make my plane, etc. overall I would say your guides on the tours are very organized compared to the people doing the bookings and providing support and you should definitely work on that.

Really nice experience, I saw a lot things and had many highlights. It was a pitty that our first CEO was not that good and caused some negative vibes in the group. The Lares Trek was cool and no problem at all for me regarding the hike but some people should have not be on the trek because they struggled really hard and we needed to wait really long for them.
