Lovely trip, this is my second explore trip, the first was a very experienced guide in Costa Rica, Nathi was our guide for this one he said he was new to explore, what he lacked in explore experience he gained in his buzzing personality and local knowledge, he was a great kind and considerate guide nothing was too much trouble. He arranged things and recommend things sharing his knowledge freely. As he gets more experience he’ll be a great asset to Explore. You never know what people you’ll get on such a holiday and I’m always a bit apprehensive since I don’t suffer fools. Fortunately everyone seemed to bond by the end of the 2 weeks. Re the itinerary it was a good balance, maybe include the wine tasting as part of it instead of an option.

At Boschendal Wine Estate, enjoy a Farm-to-Table lunch of locally sourced foods, harvested from the Werf Food Garden and cooked to perfection by Chef Allistaire Lawrence. In Kruger National Park, adventure out on a private open-air safari in search of the Big Five. Led by professional trackers, this once in a lifetime experience unfolds the largest game reserve in South Africa.
G made what could have been a logistical nightmare to face alone, an easy and well-run trip through southern and east Africa. The interactions we were able to have with local communities were unforgettable and knowing exactly how our money is helping these regions goes a long way to justifying paying for a tour. All the CEOs were well organised and friendly and I feel like I learned a lot as well as seeing so many beautiful sights. There are improvements to be made in terms of the pricing of optional activities and the intense itinerary but overall, I had a life-changing trip.

A month where every day felt like a highlight. Doing this with a nice group and especially the first 3 weeks with Francois and Edison was amazing. I really feel like i have seen all the highlights of the countries we have been to.

My husband and I chose this tip to Africa as our honeymoon and I am so glad we did. This trip was the kind that many only dream about. It was so raw, showing the real Africa. It has made me richer in so many ways and I cannot thank G Adventures enough for such an amazing experience, one I will never forget!
Excellent. Trip of a life time. Very interesting loved to seeing the animals in their natural habitat but the cultural aspect that were the included aspects but also the additional paid excursions. Many of the expert added guides were very very good adding lots to the trip. I especially liked the guide/researcher to the Namibia in the desert who took us for a tour in the desert describing how the flora and fauna survived without rain etc.so very interesting. I also enjoyed the tour in the Botanical Garden in Cape Town, very interesting but too short. The only caution is that if you take this tour, you need to be aware of the long rides, usually necessary due to the isolation of some sites, and lots of early mornings. Always need to be prepared for lots of tipping on a daily basis. Overall, would highly recommend

Loved it. This is our second National Geographic Gadventure. We did exactly what we came to do. All our COs were fantastic. Will do another trip with Gadventures in the future.
It was a great trip with fantastic game viewing and knowledgeable guides. The accommodation was unique & comfortable, but Rhino lodge at Kosi bay was the poorest -the rooms etc were lovely but there was a decidedly run down aspect to the site and the dinning room service was notable lacking -2-3hr wait after ordering but the food when it came was fine -very understaffed and pushed, not helped by sharing facilities with an inebriated wedding group. Wernan the guide was competent, knowledgeable and did all he could to facilitate the experience -including re driving thro the mountains so we could see Gods Window etc as our first journey was thro thick fog etc with no visibility. Great trip, especially for the kids.
A really enjoyable trip, particularly if you enjoy wildlife spotting. Varied viewing opportunities. Early starts in the morning to enable better chances to spot animals in the parks.
Some long days driving from hotel to hotel but always lovely views to take in. Roads are quiet in comparison to home but can be a bit bumpy in places.
Food great and excellent value in comparison to home. Fantastic steaks and seafood (Vegetarians can be catered for but not the most imaginative).
