Vietnam was an amazing and varied place and Explores itinerary managed to pack in a huge variety of scenery, activities and education including places and people I wouldn't have managed to find alone. Long's leadership was brilliant keeping the teenagers engaged and encouraged to try new experiences and food.
Explore have exceptional guides and exceptional itineraries. You really get to see and explore a country in a safe and sustainable way. With lots of smiles and memories to last a lifetime. We will definitely be travelling with Explore again!
1st off Tam the guide was extremely well informed and competent with his knowledge and love of Viet Nam that he shared with the group.
Highlights for me included:
Mekong Delta cruise.
Hoi An old town.
Vespa tour at night
Sailing Cat Ba.
A great experience of culture, food, wartime history and beautiful scenery.
Wi-Fi in Thanh Lich Hotel was terrible.
This tour hit all the right notes for us. We wanted something that showed us different parts of Thailand without being too intense or expensive. The days were full but never overwhelming. We saw big landmarks like the Grand Palace and White Temple but also had time for small experiences, like sipping coffee at a local cafe in Chiang Mai or watching the sunset from the beach in Phuket.
The flights between cities made travel easy and we were always met on time. Having a guide in each place helped us understand the history and customs better and they answered every question we had.
We’re not “tour people,” usually, but this one made things simple. It was structured but with enough flexibility. If you’re thinking about Thailand and want a little adventure without the stress of planning I’d definitely recommend this tour.
We really enjoyed this comprehensive tour of Vietnam. Including time in more rural areas as well as the well known cities and sites, it gave us a great insight into local culture and there was plenty of opportunity to meet the locals who were incredibly friendly. The trip ran seemlesly in the extremely capable hands of our tour leader Diem, one of the best we've had (this was our 6th family holiday with Explore). Highlights would include all of the bike rides, exploring Tam Coc caves by boat, Saigon by cyclo, the amazing food, so fresh and plentiful, and the kids loved haggling for bargains in the markets and shops (especially Hoi An). Accommodation and transport were both of a great standard. Well done Explore!
An amazing adventure through Laos and Cambodia. Expert, friendly and knowledgeable guides make each adventure memorable. Seamless organisation with everything running smoothly. I would highly recommend this to everyone!

Experience the best of southern Vietnam in a single day with the Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City tour. Begin your trip by delving into the Cu Chi Tunnels’ subterranean world, where over 200 kilometers of passageways tell stories of survival and tenacity during the Vietnam War. After returning to Ho Chi Minh City, recharge with lunch before setting out on a sightseeing journey through the city’s colonial heart. All was a great experience as usual from Explore, tour leaders were great, always there if needed, very accommodating. Looking forward to the next trip ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Step back in time and experience a pivotal chapter of Vietnamese history on the Cu Chi Tunnels half day private tour. With flexible start times, your private guide whisks you 70 kilometers northwest of Ho Chi Minh City to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels. Here, you’ll learn firsthand about the endurance and ingenuity that defined the local resistance during the Vietnam War.
Explore sections of the 200-kilometer tunnel network, discovering hidden kitchens, hospitals, and living quarters beneath the jungle floor.
