This was a trip of a lifetime! Our trip manger always went above and beyond for our group and ensured everything ran smoothly. There was a great mix of culture, history, fun and great food! The people on this trip made it even more special. Despite many days in temple wear with the heat, this will be a trip hard to match. The jungle rafts in Thailand and slow boat in Laos were definitely a highlight.

This was a wonderful, varied trip with a good mixture of culture, beautiful scenery, activities and history, both ancient and soberingly more recent. Our guide Binh was fantastic; funny, kind, patient and very knowledgeable, he was a highlight of our trip. The accommodation was all very comfortable and the food was amazing. As a vegetarian, travel can be tricky, but there were lots of delicious options. I highly recommend this trip for the first time visitor to Vietnam.

From there, you'll cruise through the surreal beauty of Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its towering limestone karsts and emerald waters, with opportunities for kayaking and an onboard cooking class.
The adventure continues as you board the overnight Reunification Express sleeper train, offering a unique glimpse of rural life as you journey to the imperial city of Hue. Here, you'll explore the historic Citadel and cruise the serene Perfume River on a traditional Dragon boat. The tour then takes you to the charming riverside town of Hoi An, another UNESCO site, famous for its beautifully preserved Ancient Town and the magical experience of releasing handmade lanterns onto the Hoai River at sunset. You'll also have a free day to explore Hoi An at your leisure, perhaps taking an optional cooking class in the peaceful Tra Que Vegetable Village.
The final leg of your journey takes you to the bustling southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). From there, you'll embark on a two-day excursion into the lush Mekong Delta. This is a highlight of the tour, offering genuine cultural immersion. You’ll visit local families to learn traditional crafts, paddle through tranquil canals on a rowing boat, and even participate in a 'ditch slapping' activity to catch fish for your own dinner. Hoi An - Half Day Mountain Bike Ride - March 2026
If you are athletic, enjoy cycling, and love nature, then join us for an outing on our local trails and roads across the Vietnamese countryside. Spend the half day riding through postcard perfect scenery. Cross bamboo bridges (not available at the winter time), ride through rice fields and quaint villages. Cycle through the countryside just for the fun of it.
Pause halfway through your trip to have break and eat a local sandwich (Banh Mi) on the edge of a small lake, relax and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and tropical forest. There are no special visits planned during this trip, but you are free to make impromptu stops along the way to meet the inhabitants of the local villages and to discover their way of life.
