Great first trip with G Adventures. We had a really good group and Phil did a great job running interference for us. In the end, any challenges during the trip will just become part of a good story!

Whisky divides people. You either love its fiery warmth or detest its full-on flavour. Either way, there’s a reason why it’s Scotland’s national drink and our biggest export.
Whether you fall head over heels for our finest dram or banish it to the back of the drinks cabinet, at least you can say you’ve tried it on Scottish soil on a whisky tour from Edinburgh and seen a little of our sexy country along the way – think impressive waterfalls, a mythical glen, ancient woodlands, and a charming Highland village.
Pack your essentials and travel back to the 18th century on an Outlander-themed tour from Edinburgh to charming villages and iconic historic attractions: a dream day out for any Outlander fan!
We can’t guarantee any time travel through standing stones, but your guide will immerse you in real-life tales from the past which inspired Diana Gabaldon’s world-famous books. When you experience these stunning locations, you’ll understand why they were chosen to feature in the hit TV series.
A splendid introduction to Scotland. This tour fuses the remarkable beauty of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park with the majestic sight of the Kelpies and the savage history of Stirling Castle. On this trip there is plenty of time to examine amazing architecture and ponder over breath-taking natural and man-made wonders while immersing yourself in myths, legends, and stories.
Scotland's natural beauty and its historical legacy were the highlight of the trip. Many photos of the countryside were taken and will be used in creating original paintings. I appreciated as well the many occasions we had to hear history from the point of view of the Scots. An excellent balance between nature and human knowledge.
Picture yourself standing before ancient castles that guard misty lochs and on stunning cliffs with waterfalls cascading down — this is Scotland. From the brightly coloured murals on the bustling streets of Glasgow, to Fort William, an adventurer's playground, you’ll spend eight days exploring cobblestone streets and grassy landscapes. Explore the mystical Isle of Skye and mythological Loch Ness, where the murky depths hide a Scottish legend. See Inverness, vibrant and historic and learn tales of battles and folklore. End your journey in Edinburgh, a city of contrasts, where the old and new coexist, where nature and culture and where every corner holds a piece of history. With the right balance of small-group adventure and free time to explore, this trip will allow Scotland's unique magic to captivate your heart.

Tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable on everything from the history of where we were, to places to eat, to myths, legends and local stories. The driver was phenomenal and I have motion sickness which was never an issue with him behind the wheel. Would recommend to anyone who like me, wants a trip where they can just truly relax and enjoy knowing everything will go smoothly.
Combine movie magic and historic wonder on this Scottish Borders and Alnwick Castle tour from Edinburgh. You will visit the picturesque seaside village of Bamburgh and have the chance to visit 5th century Bamburgh Castle, sitting dramatically above the beautiful beach. Another highlight of the day is Alnwick Castle. This historic gem represents royal splendour and was a key filming location for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. Lose yourself in tales of the past, and the enchantment of it all, on this journey between the border of Scotland and England.
The entire trip was wonderful. I’m unable to single out just one city or experience because I enjoyed it all equally. I signed up for every optional experience and was not disappointed. I loved the ruins and the history from both our tour director and the specialists brought on in various areas.
