The visit to the farm was so memorable. The bog, learning about animals and it’s fair to say, I will never have a two week old lamb cuddling next to my face!

This tour was my first one internationally. I loved it. We spent alot of time on the bus and moving from hotel to hotel for 9 days. 1300 miles. It was alot with 46 people in one space. One person came on sick and everyone else got it. Despite that, the excursions were outstanding. The culture is amazing and the weather was phenomenal, which we found out was very unusual.
The Irish Experience was a wonderful trip around Ireland and into Northern Ireland. The tour director and bus driver were excellent pointing out the wonderful sights and Irish folklore and getting to our destinations on time and ahead of the crowds at Blarney Castle and the Ring of Kerry.

This grand Ireland trip is fit for royalty, including stays in the homes of Irish nobility. You’ll travel to Kildare and learn all about the racehorses of Ireland, visit the Ring of Kerry and watch how delicate crystal is cut in Connemara.
This was a fun trip, but it was very fast-paced. It gave a great overview of all that the UK and Ireland have to offer, but there wasn’t enough time to see very much of it in depth. It’s perfect for helping you pick out the places you want to see again in more detail. It involves a fair amount of riding around on the coach, but the route is consistently planned with carefully spaced “comfort” breaks. Some of the stops in small towns were given too much time, when there wasn’t much to do or see, and some of the stops could have been longer, when there was a lot to see or do. Our Tour Director was excellent, and so was our driver. Most of the hotels were very nice, with a few that were just OK. The included group dinners weren’t very exciting, but they were reasonable and tasty.

Beginning in Dublin, guests will spend the first two nights at the Clontarf Castle hotel, parts of which date back to the year 1172 offering the perfect blend of a boutique and luxury hotel. After experiencing the vibrant city of Dublin, you will then drive west through the stunning countryside to County Galway, for two nights in the charming Abbeyglen Castle Hotel, nestled in the romantic setting of the Twelve Bens with beautiful views overlooking Clifden Bay. Enjoy exploring the beautiful Connemara region, before heading south through County Clare “the land of castles” to County Kerry. The following two nights will be spent at Ballyseede Castle, with a history dating back to the 1590’s, from here you can explore the Dingle Peninsula and perhaps take a trip to the unspoilt Blasket Islands. Heading back east you will spend your final night in a 13th century castle in the heart of the horse-breeding county of Kildare.
