We had a really nice time on our three passes Trek. I would definitely recommend doing the three passes over the normal Everest base camp trip as views are much nicer and you see more of the Everest region.
Just don't rush the trip too much as you really need the time for acclimatization. Making the trip longer is always the better option then shorter and we have seen quite some people who had big issues with altitude sickness because they went up too fast. There are several peaks you can add additional to the three passes if you have enough time what I would recommend as well.
Be careful with the guide you get, at the end it is your trip so he should really adapt to your wishes. Here you have to be strict that the guide is following your wishes and not you his.

I highly recommend this local tour operator! We took 18 days trek to Everest Base Camp and 3 High Passes in November and the experience was just amazing. We had everything professionally organized by Chris: transportation (including flight to Lukla), food and lodging, permits, you name it... The contact with the company was always quick and easy, Chris was super helpful and everything went smoothly. We were even provided with really good and warm sleeping bags and jackets! Our guide Lakpa was really experienced and knowledgeable, he showed us some of the most incredible places we've ever seen, helped us through all the though parts of the trail and was always there to answer questions and offer advice. We felt really well taken care for every step of the way. We're already planning our next trek in Nepal and we'll most definitely come back to Nepal.

A beautiful trip, though sometimes quite challenging, particularly due to difficult and unexpected weather conditions (fresh snow).
The team (guides, porters, etc.) was simply wonderful, very professional, very friendly and always ready and happy to help.
On top, the cook and its kitchen boys make miracles, three hot meals a day with plenty of hot water and tea, fresh coffee at breakfast, dishes that are always delicious, varied and very clean.
We can only feel completely safe, whatever the circumstances, when we are accompanied by such a professional team.

Great experience with Khum ji in coordinating the trek,travel in Kathmandu and to Lukla and was lucky to have the best porter/guide Dendi who twice summitted Everest and provided all the help and know about the area. Although lost a few days for not a seat on plane to Lukla, it was a great experience overall.

We can highly recommend doing this Trek. It is a tough hiking trek (since you will be at very high altitudes for multiple days in a row) but the views make up for it - the landscape is stunning. Our Guide (Sanchaman Rai) explained a lot and did his best so that we felt always safe and secure. When we could not finish the first pass (Kongma La) - Sanchaman adjusted our plan so that we could do the other two passes, even though we lost a day. All in all it was a great trek with a great tour agency. (Hint: If you think about doing the Trek in less than 16Days - it may be possible, but make sure that you acclimatize correctly otherwise you will not enjoy the experience :-). In our opinion 16 Days is the perfekt amount of time).

We just arrived from an 18 days trek on the Himalayas, we went with a local tour operator. We had a great experience in the country, especially during our trek in the Himalayas, it is, indeed, a hard trip, so is important to be confident about your guides. Ive travelled with 2 friends in Nov 2018 to a Expedition to EBC and Chola Pass, we had great time and I strongly recommend Exciting Nepal Agency. The agency was super organized since the booking, they did excellent planning (we had the first flights to arrive and leave from Lukla) what makes huge difference. They also adapt the tour according to our physical condition during the trip (altitude sickness). Our guide Shambuh, took care of everything, always check in on us, so we just needed to worry about walking, "Bistarei, Bistarei" We had such an unforgettable experience and with sure choosing Exciting Nepal made difference!
