Sumba was a great guide! He was friendly, knowledge and easy to work with. He has a lot of experience and it shows! I’m grateful I was able to have him as my guide!
We had a really nice time on our three passes Trek. I would definitely recommend doing the three passes over the normal Everest base camp trip as views are much nicer and you see more of the Everest region. Just don't rush the trip too much as you really need the time for acclimatization. Making the trip longer is always the better option then shorter and we have seen quite some people who had big issues with altitude sickness because they went up too fast. There are several peaks you can add additional to the three passes if you have enough time what I would recommend as well. Be careful with the guide you get, at the end it is your trip so he should really adapt to your wishes. Here you have to be strict that the guide is following your wishes and not you his.
If you're wavering between this trip and Everest Base Camp and have the time to do this one instead, please, please do it! You get off the beaten track much more and away from the hoardes which you can find on the normal base camp route. It's a physical challenge to achieve the 3 high passes, but the itinerary is such that you have time to acclimatise properly (unlike some companies). The guides, porters and cooks are all wonderful.
WEx organised and led an excellent trip across the three passes and I would recommend them if you are planning an adventurous trip. All leaders, guides cooks and porters were locals and we were particularly impressed how they looked after their cooks and porters. The leader had a consultative and flexible approach to the trip and enhanced the experience. Also the individual welfare of all trekkers was well cared for. No one dropped out, the acclimatisation process was excellent with no one having serious impacts. Overall a truely special experience.
We can highly recommend doing this Trek. It is a tough hiking trek (since you will be at very high altitudes for multiple days in a row) but the views make up for it - the landscape is stunning. Our Guide (Sanchaman Rai) explained a lot and did his best so that we felt always safe and secure. When we could not finish the first pass (Kongma La) - Sanchaman adjusted our plan so that we could do the other two passes, even though we lost a day. All in all it was a great trek with a great tour agency. (Hint: If you think about doing the Trek in less than 16Days - it may be possible, but make sure that you acclimatize correctly otherwise you will not enjoy the experience :-). In our opinion 16 Days is the perfekt amount of time).
from the beginning we had nice communication with the Owner Rajendra lamcihhane . He picked us up from the airport and explained in details what we can expect on the trek. Our Guide Sapta was excellent and gave us enough flexibility. I am again planning to visit Nepal to do another adventure and will definitely book with these Guys.
