We were recommend World Ex by a friend and I can safely say we'll be doing the same. Our High Passes trek was incredible. Apart from the adventure itself, the team of guides, porters and kitchen staff were exceptional. A well oiled machine that took care of everything so all we needed to do was enjoy our surroundings. Our guides in particular kept a careful eye on all of us and made sure we were safe at all time, communicated well and had everything organised. Our contact at home, Pam, was also wonderful putting it all together for us and answering our many questions along the way. We can't rate the World Expeditions team highly enough. Thank you World Ex!
My partner and I had the most amazing experience with this local travel specialist. We completed the three high passes + EBC trail, with my partner even going on to summit Island Peak (successfully!). Our guide Kanchha Tamang made sure we had the best experience - a well planned itinerary to ensure we acclimatised properly, looking out for any signs of AMS, looking after us when we both got sick with viruses on the trail. We had flexibility to change our itinerary a bit to maximise our chance of the best views as we were walking quicker than expected. Kanchha always made sure we had fun, made great memories, learned lots about the culture and history of the regions we were in, and supported us so well through what can be a pretty challenging few weeks on the trail. We miss him already! Special shout-out to our amazing porter Jiban, without whom the trek would not have been possible and for whom we are so grateful. And another special mention to Rajendra who managed our trip and who goes truly above and beyond for his clients. When we mentioned to Kanchha we were interested in exploring Pokhara after our trek had finished, he called Rajendra who then arranged everything for us (flights, accomodation, recommendations for activities, booked us in for paragliding). When we got stranded in Lukla for a few days due to grounded planes, it is due to the tireless efforts of Kanchha & Rajendra that we were able to get out of the mountains on a helicopter and continue our holiday.
The view in the trek is absolutely breathtaking and incomparable. For 3 passes, 16 days is not too slow or too tight, very balanced. I particularly like the acclimatization days in Chukung and Gokyo, easy trekking days and also getting away from the crowd to EBC. If there is room to improve on itinerary, i wish there is one more night in Thame, considering its so beautiful and famous as the home for well-known mountaineers. It serves as quite a relaxing place after completing 3 passes. My guide Bishwa, hes absolutely professional, reliable, and well equipped with the knowledge of mountains compared to the other guides on the way I saw. Even other guides need to ask him the name of mountains. He is also very caring, without his help I couldnt have passed Kumbu Glaciers. He also helped to fix my shoes and treated my allergy to the sunshine. I am very grateful for him and can only highly recommend him to you if you are planning the trip in Everest region.
Planning: I scheduled my trek with this tour company in mid-September 2019. The plan was to beat the main portion of peak season. I knew that meant pushing back closer to Nepals rainy season. Upon reaching Kathmandu, the airport in Lukla was closed due to heavy cloud & fog. I had extra days in my schedule and used them up waiting for the airport to reopen. Which did not happen in time for me to continue with my original plan. Throughout this process Mr. Krishna was very understanding and helpful in explaining options and alternatives, so I could make the best choice for a substitute itinerary. Execution: From that point on I cannot speak more highly of how my trek went. My Guide (Nuri) & porter (Gopal) were always taking care of me and ensuring my safety. As we grew to know one another it made the trip even more pleasurable. I learned many things, not only about the beautiful landscapes I was seeing, but about the culture and peoples of Nepal. My sincere thankfulness & Gratitude to Nuri & Gopal In Closing: Based on my own personal experience with this tour company, I would not hesitate to recommend them as a great, friendly, and honest, guide service. One last note: If you are considering a trek in Nepal, understand that being flexible to change can make a huge difference. In my case it meant the difference in between Wonderful or mediocre, I chose wonderful. You see the world not as it is, but as you are. Have a great trek. Timmy
Sudip our guide was amazing, he was very knowledgable about everything. Def recommend this tour agency and Sudip to be your guide. I will never forget my journey with Sudib by my side.
The trek was very difficult but it was worth. We had an amazing time in Nepal. The trek itself, our guide and porter were amazing. Foods and accommodation were fine but it wouldn't have been possible without guide's help to get the accommodation on our own. The trek was very busy on the Everest Base Camp side but was very light on Chola and Renjo La Pass Trek. Thank you for Everything!
