This was our third trip with EuropaMundo and in this we visit some places already visited. We did this because now EuropaMundo include city tour in some city that before were no include Example of these are Madrid,Santander and Bilbao.
For a deep dive into the heart of Spain, the "Iberian Triangle" trip offers a 10-day guided group tour that starts and ends in Madrid. With an easy physical activity rating, this journey is suited for seniors or anyone looking for a relaxed sightseeing experience. All the arrangements—hotels, transport, meals—are expertly managed, ensuring you can focus on exploring Madrid’s treasures. The USP is the immersive itinerary, allowing you to experience Spain’s culture at a gentle pace.
Unfortunately this tour was impacted by the corona virus and multiple border / town lock downs, however it was still an enjoyable trip. Our itinerary while amended allowed us to visit some beautiful sights, and I always felt safe and informed throughout the entire trip. My guide was knowledgeable and gave our group guided tours throughout the towns, allowing us to ensure we made the most of the visits. He had an excellent knowledge of history and culture.
The last tour I did with Europamundo we did not have mic commentary from the guide and I can see now we have missed some of the commentary after hearing such detail on this tour. I’d recommend all guides to do the mic share on the bus, otherwise you may as well give us the Wikipedia page links pre tour.
Unfortunately I would like to provide feedback that the transition with the new guide who was taking us from Stockholm to Helsinki was not ideal. With the tense circumstances with EU travel restrictions, I was not provided with contact details of the new guide until requested and it felt we were left deserted in Stockholm. I understand this new guide was not presented with the best scenario he could’ve, so please understand I do not take this as a compromise of him or his job.
For those passengers who had made alternative travel arrangements so they could return home early however were originally planned to continue the tour, it felt they were provided little support once the guide transition was made.
This survey asks me to rate Jose however I feel it’s not appropriate for me to do so as I didn’t have any travel with him. I’m sure he is great and excels when there is no corona
Also, BMW World is the worst stop in the whole itinerary and a lot of people on our tour would agree. We even joked how bad it was during our tour multiple times
Overall though the tour was great fun, with brilliant guides who coordinated us through this period. Please pass on my sincere thank you for managing through such a challenging period.
If a grand sweep of Western Europe appeals to you, the 'Highlights from the Old Continent' tour is a perfect fit. This 17-day journey starts in Lisbon and concludes in Amsterdam, guiding you through a tapestry of cultures and landscapes. Ideal for seniors, the easygoing itinerary includes group accommodations, transport, and meals, making travel stress-free. The highlight of this tour package is the chance to explore multiple countries on one trip, offering a rich, panoramic view of Europe’s diverse heritage and beauty.
This is not a usual tour but like a hop on hop off tour.. people joined and left our group at nearly every point along the way. We had six different tour guides not including the local tour guides. The tour was mostly Spanish speaking and the guides said everything in both English and Spanish which became annoying for both English speaking and Spanish speaking passengers.. Every optional outing was cancelled and the moulin rouge outing was booked for the 11pm show which didn’t finish til after 1am and had to be back on the bus at 7.30am.. there were children and babies on the tour which some might not like. The only time it bothered me was when the teething baby’s dirty diapers were put in the bin on the bus stinking out the back of the bus. One of the buses we were on for the uk leg of our trip was obviously designed to carry small children. The seats were tiny and the seat in front of you pushed on your knees and if the person in front reclined their seat it was only inches from your face. I couldn’t even look at my iPad as it wouldn’t fit between me and the seat in front and the air conditioner was not working on the first day.. I have never considered leaving a tour half way through before but I actually looked up renting a car to continue the tour myself.. we were taken to some places after close time like the tower of London when it would have made more sense to do the bus tour of the sites that evening and take us to the tower when it was open.. I did enjoy the tour as it was my first time in Europe and most of our guides were great but I would never book a Europamundo tour again
