Walk through the Cheviot Hills from Scotland to England en-route to Britain's very own Galapagos. The St Cuthbert’s Way is a long-distance path that was established in 1996. The route reflects the life of this 7th century monk, extending from Melrose Abbey in the Scottish borders, where he became bishop to the island of Lindisfarne just off the coast of Northumberland in northeast England, where he was buried. So the ‘Way’ links places associated with his life. It includes a variety of delightfully unspoilt countryside: the Tweed Valley (origin of the famous woollen cloth), the Eildon Hills, the Cheviot Hills (origin of one of the most famous breeds of sheep), and the Northumberland coast with its broad horizons, sandy beaches and dramatic contrasts between high and low tide. The small historic towns en route - Melrose, Kirk Yetholm and Wooler - are equally unspoilt and offer a pleasant contrast with the thinly populated countryside. There is an abundance of historical features, including ruined abbeys at Melrose and Lindisfarne, the battle site at Harestanes Moor and old castles. The standard route is intended to be walked in 4 long days, but we have made several modifications to make the day stages slightly shorter and perhaps more interesting. The tour ends on Lindisfarne, but we recommend that if you have time, you opt for the extended tour which takes you back to the mainland and the beautiful village of Bamburgh overlooked by its grand castle and further down the coast, past the magnificent ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle to near the ancient kipper producing village of Craster.
Unveil the timeless treasures of Turkey with the Ancient Turkey Tour, a 9-day city sightseeing journey that starts in vibrant Istanbul and concludes in historic Kusadasi. Traverse iconic sites such as the magnificent city of Ephesus, the enchanting landscapes of Cappadocia, the dreamlike terraces of Pamukkale, and much more. This guided group tour offers travelers seamless accommodation, transport, and meals, allowing you to focus on absorbing Turkey’s rich heritage. Designed for those wanting a concise yet comprehensive exploration, you’ll move swiftly from bustling bazaars to ancient ruins, and from modern metropolises to serene natural wonders. The unique selling point of this tour lies in its ability to pack the highlights of Turkey into a focused itinerary—a real Turkish delight for travelers eager to experience the best in a short time.
For those drawn to epic journeys and personal accomplishment, the Camino Norte from Bilbao to Santiago tour offers an unforgettable 32-day walking adventure through Spain’s northern coast. Suited for experienced travelers and active seniors seeking moderate physical challenge, this self-guided trip traces one of the original pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela.
Beginning in Bilbao, home to the world-renowned Guggenheim Museum, the path follows the dramatic coastline of the Bay of Biscay, weaving through Cantabria and Asturias. From the gateway town of Ribadeo, the route dips south into Galicia, passing historic villages and lush mountain trails. The quieter nature of the Camino Norte, shielded historically by the Picos de Europa and Cordillera Cantabrica, offers a contemplative alternative to the busier French route.
You’ll stay in charming local hotels and experience a rich tapestry of landscapes—from seaside cliffs to ancient towns—while savoring regional cuisine and vibrant culture. The unique selling point of this tour is the opportunity to walk a less-traveled Camino, blending centuries-old tradition with breathtaking natural beauty for a truly rewarding pilgrimage experience.

Off the beaten track cycling through the unspoiled Balkan Mountains of Bulgaria. The Balkan Mountains are famous for lush green valleys, sheer cliffs and gentle rolling hills with sheep grazing peacefully in their pastures. Starting from the Chekotinski Monastery there is enormous opportunity for unique cycling. Passing through the Central Balkan National Park, the narrow roads meander through valleys, forests and quaint villages that have not changed for centuries. Wooden carts pulled by horse or donkey are the norm and farmers still make hay with a pitchfork.
