Thessaloniki, named after the half-sister of Alexander the Great is the second-largest city in Greece. Nestled in the heart of the Thermaic Gulf, Thessaloniki is easy to fall in love with. It has beauty, chaos, history and culture, remarkable cuisine and wonderful, vast sea views. Ever since the 4th c. BC when it was founded, Thessaloniki has kept its urban character and has remained a civic centre and the hub of that region. The city’s multicultural history has been associated with great empires, as it has known the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Rule. But sightseeing is not the only thing to do in Thessaloniki. It is perfect for endless strolls and city exploration. Walk along Thessaloniki beach promenade, have a coffee at Aristotle Square, taste the local delicacies at Ladadika, and time travel to the past at Thessaloniki Old Town.
The city of Bergen was most magnificent, but this tour helped me get to hard to reach places that I would have no ability to on my own so that I could see nature as well at my own chosen speed.

This tour is the BEST way to see all the infamous spots in Italy, plus local hidden gems, at a reasonable cost and if you are short on time (we had a school break time limitation). It covered everything! We budgeted for the add-ons, especially those with meals, but you could choose to have more free time if you wanted. The food was extraordinary, the bus was roomy and immaculately clean, our driver Antonello was superb, and our Travel Director Anneleis was amazing! She was so talented at integrating the tour highlights, guests, keeping it fun even in the rainy weather, knowledgeable, and able to troubleshoot anything to ensure we had the best experience of a lifetime!! I would love to go back and explore Southern Italy next. The hotels were elegant (only one was just "OK" only because it was in need of some renovations) and the service with our luggage, tipping, etc. was seamless. I highly recommend the Italian Intermezzo tour and Insight Vacations. Favoloso!
Follow in the footsteps of the gladiators as you see the Colosseum in Rome, take in the regal history of the Habsburgs at Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna and see the Rhine Valley sights on the road to Königswinter during this 2-week guided tour. From the iconic attractions of Rome and the cultural gems of the Vatican, your expert-led voyage sets out across Europe, stopping for sunset cocktails and dinner in Venice, and sightseeing in the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. In Vienna, enjoy the exclusive Insight Choice of Viennese Waltz dance lessons—set to the tunes of Mozart’s masterpieces, or sample sachertorte at a traditional Viennese cafe, washed down with a specially selected coffee. End your adventure with a private Rhine Castle visit paired with regional wines and a dinner in Amsterdam.
This was a fantastic trip. The hotels selected were excellent. What I appreciated the most was that all of the hotels were convenient to local public transportation.
Great Itinerary which covered every touristy thing we wanted to do and *Personal details removed by Feefo* tried his best to accomodate any "must sees" the group had in mind.
Perfect coach which was kept clean (inside and out). We felt safe throughout the drive by *Personal details removed by Feefo* .
Hotels were far from anything, and getting around just became an extra expense. The Hotel Il Burchiello Oriago really needs to be re-considered as an option. It was awfully small, outdated and just not a great experience, especially as the first stop into Italy.
Wish the group dynamics could be better - maybe a "break the ice" drinks meet on the first night could have helped and made conversations more enjoyable.

This was a very enjoyable trip with an exerienced Guide. Eleni really made us live the Ancient Times through her excellent knowledge, educational activities and lovely personnality. The sites we visited were amazing, the 3 star hotels were of a good standard and well located. I highly recommend this trip.
