I did a 7-day Kilimanjaro trek via the Rongai Route in December and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish.
The landscapes along the Rongai Route were breathtaking, with beautiful and constantly changing scenery at every camp. It was one of the most memorable holidays I’ve ever had. It was less crowded so it felt like absolutely exclusive.
The crew was outstanding: Bakari the mountain guide, Mojo created amazing food Mama Africa, and a hardworking, friendly team of porters who supported me all the way to the summit. Thanks to them, I successfully reached the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and fulfilled a lifelong dream.

Our initial apprehensions about our first overseas trip post pandemic were put to rest by the excellent arrangements including day planning and lodging starting from receiving us at the airport. This is a fantastic tour that will get you off the beaten track. We hardly saw any other trekkers until Manang & Lake Tilicho. The pace of the trek was really thought out to assist with acclimatisation. The remote camping at the base camps & near Buddhist monastry’s was a highlight, as was the village & monastery of Phu. The tents were very spacious & the sleeping bag, fleece liner & jacket provided by World Expeditions were good quality & warm. I was happy to be camping near tea houses at times so we could use their dining area for meals, to play cards & to charge our devices (sometimes for a fee). I recommend taking a good book or two to enjoy the downtime in the afternoons.
Our guide Juddha was very experienced & really looked after us. All the crew worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly & to schedule. The included meals were plentiful & varied & there was always enough boiling water to fill our water bottles. I highly recommend this tour & would trek with World Expeditions again!
