The Marangu route is one of the most popular routes to the summit of Kilimanjaro. This could partly be as a result of the fact that the Marangu is the least expensive route but more so perhaps the fact that it is possible to do the Marangu route in 5 days thereby getting to the summit one day earlier compared to the Machame route. This is not always the best way due to a shorter acclimatization period. That is one thing to take into account before decided to do the Marangu route.
Nobody, even how fit they are, know how their body will respond in high altitude. If you want to increase your chances for making a successful summit, we recommend the Machame route.
The shared hut accommodation on the Marangu route is one of the main differences compared to the other routes, where you have to camp. Mineral water, soft drinks, chocolates and beers are also sold at all the camps on this route.
All your equipment and supplies are portered and our cook will prepares all your meals.

Scale Africa’s tallest peak on the Mount Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route, a trek favored by adventurers seeking panoramic vistas and fewer crowds. The journey begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to Londorossi Gate, followed by a trek through lush rainforest and the expansive Shira Plateau. Merging with the Machame route, climbers traverse the southern circuit, passing landmarks like Lava Tower and Barranco, before the final summit push. The Lemosho route is celebrated for its scenic diversity and high success rate, striking a balance between adventure and accessibility. The USP? This route’s unique approach and varied landscapes make it a top choice for trekkers wanting the most scenic and rewarding Kilimanjaro trip.
If you’re seeking a quieter, more remote ascent of Kilimanjaro, the Rongai Route is an excellent choice. Approaching from the north, near the Kenyan border, this route offers solitude and is especially suitable for those trekking during the rainy season, as the northern slopes receive less precipitation.
The seven-day itinerary allows for proper acclimatization, enhancing your chances of reaching the summit. Trekkers will pass through wilderness areas, spot wildlife such as elephants and buffalo, and enjoy the tranquility of less-traveled paths before joining the Marangu Route at Kibo Hut for the final push to the summit.
While the scenery may be less varied compared to western approaches, Rongai’s USP is its remoteness and accessibility, making it a moderately difficult yet achievable trek for those with less backpacking experience. This tour package is ideal for hikers desiring a successful and peaceful Kilimanjaro climb.

For those seeking the ultimate Kilimanjaro trekking experience, the 9-Day Mt Kilimanjaro Climb via the Lemosho Route delivers stunning vistas and a high chance of reaching the summit. This tour package is celebrated for its panoramic views, quieter trails, and excellent acclimatization schedule—making it a top pick for trekkers who want both beauty and a strong success rate.
The route begins on the western slopes, winding through untouched rainforest before opening to expansive moorlands and offering sweeping views across different faces of the mountain. Unlike busier paths, Lemosho’s remoteness allows you to immerse yourself in Kilimanjaro’s pristine wilderness, encountering unique flora, fauna, and dramatic landscapes along the way.
A distinctive feature of this journey is the two-day section from Barranco to Barafu, providing a valuable opportunity to rest and acclimatize before the final summit push. This thoughtful pacing increases your likelihood of standing atop Uhuru Peak, all while enjoying the mountain’s most scenic route. The actual trek spans eight days, with an additional day dedicated to airport transfers and preparation, ensuring a smooth and well-supported experience.
This trip is particularly suited to travelers who value both adventure and comfort, with expert guides ensuring safety and guidance throughout. The blend of natural splendor, low crowds, and a carefully planned itinerary makes this an exceptional way to experience Africa’s highest mountain—and a journey you’ll remember for years to come.
For adventurous trekkers seeking a lesser-known summit in Africa, the 4-Day Mount Meru Trekking tour in Tanzania delivers both challenge and awe-inspiring scenery. Ascend Tanzania’s second highest mountain, rising to 4,568 meters within the wildlife-rich confines of Arusha National Park. The trail is steep and diverse, taking you through lush parkland, dense mountain forest, moorland, and across streams, ultimately leading you along a narrow ridge to the dramatic summit.
Unlike Kilimanjaro’s popular routes, Mount Meru’s climb demands more technical skill, rewarding experienced hikers with panoramic views and the thrill of a less-traveled path. Along the way, trekkers have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife unique to the region, adding a safari-like element to the trekking experience.
This tour package is tailored for those ready for a physically demanding adventure, with the unique selling point being the blend of mountain trekking and close encounters with Tanzanian wildlife. For travelers who crave both elevation and immersion in nature, Mount Meru stands as an unforgettable challenge off the beaten track.
