Explore the stunning country of Ireland on this 8-day self-drive tour. Beginning in Dublin, guests will spend the first two nights at the Clontarf Castle hotel, parts of which date back to the year 1172 offering the perfect blend of a boutique and luxury hotel. After experiencing the vibrant city of Dublin, you will then drive west through the stunning countryside to County Galway, for two nights in the charming Abbeyglen Castle Hotel, nestled in the romantic setting of the Twelve Bens with beautiful views overlooking Clifden Bay. Enjoy exploring the beautiful Connemara region, before heading south through County Clare “the land of castles” to County Kerry. Enjoyed this trip and all the optional choices. Weather couldn't have been better. Food was good. Free time and tour experiences were nicely balanced.
Tour Guide and Bus Driver was great. I was traveling solo and felt safe.
The one thing that could have gone better, was accommodations. The Leonardo Hotel in Cardiff and Liverpool was not a good experience. The room was not clean, carpet, window treatments and furniture was old and in bad repair.

We had a wonderful time. We quickly realized how lucky we were when we saw the skillful organization and coordination that took place each day. Our trip included all the must see places and events. We would have struggled for a month to try and achieve seeing and doing everything, on our own.

My wife and I were blessed to have a wonderful tour guide who shared his expansive knowledge of Ireland. He shared personal stories, read poems and sang to our group all along our journey. We also had a terrific driver who was super experienced and professional. We felt extremely safe with him behind the wheel. All things considered, it was a near perfect trip.
