Very busy. Lots of walking and getting on and off the bus. You get a taste for lots of sites but never enough time to really get to know them. I saw them is often all ypu get.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable and professional. The bus driver was amazing. We enjoyed the locations that we visited. It was great that there were restaurants and shopping within walking distance of most hotels. THANK YOU and !
This was an excellent 15-day tour which captured all the best of Ireland and Scotland, its castles, landscapes and history. It is value for money and surpassed my expectations, and some of the hotels and meals offered were top class. Having been on a couple of Insight Vacations tours previously, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this tour. I certainly would opt to go on other Trafalgar Tours and have my sights on Turkey, Spain, Portugal, South Africa and South America. Alas, being retired, I have to stretch my finances and hopefully, can achieve my goals in the next five years. The tour itinerary was remarkable in that it included all the famous sites that a two-week tour can capture. Starting with bustling Dublin and the enthralling Irish music, dance and humor cabaret, we went to Waterford and saw, amongst other products, the crystal replica of the Ashes trophy, the holy grail of cricket, fought over regularly between the Australians and English. Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone story did not disappoint either. The drive around the Ring of Kerry and seeing the spectacular scenery, stopping at Galway, Derry / Londonderry, walking on the slippery stones of the Giant's Causeway, absorbing the history of Ireland, N Ireland and Scotland, a visit to Stirling Castle, Isle of Skye, Loch Ness and finally climaxing with the Edinburgh Military Tatoo. What a blast!!
I was so delighted to share in the experience with 40 other wonderful people. The tour was well planned and the experiences we had were wonderful as well as educational.
Great itinerary and our guide, *personal info removed by Feefo*, was awesome. Beautiful hotels and beautiful sights to see. Learned Ana saw so much ! Thanks for a great trip.
This trip fulfilled a long-time wish to visit Ireland. Several Irish relatives emigrated thru Cork to the U.S. in the 1840’s to escape the Potato Famine.. Cork was one of the stops on our tour- I felt a connection while there and plan to work together with a cousin on genealogy research for the Perry family. This trip was beautifully planned and executed. A special shout out to our Tour Director, *personal info removed by Feefo* One suggestion- consider accessibility when selecting lodging, transportation, and entering /exiting buildings, and stairwells.
