After a week of touring the historical sites in Beijing and Xian, China, a shopping excursion in Shanghai was fun.
Tour was run by a very knowledgeable guide and included a formal tea service in a tea shop where different teas were sampled. Followed by some free time to shop at one of the many street shopping areas before having lunch at a traditional Chinese restaurant, which was included as part of the tour. The highlight was an extended shopping time to haggle and bargain at one of the most popular and busy shopping villages in Shanghai. Bring your best haggling skills because they will surely be tested! Definitely a fun experience!
This was a top notch company and the climbing was great. The guide was completely safe and with high winds (too dangerous to climb) we worked together to amend the plans. This made me feel safe. (Note that these are high altitude climbs and one needs to have some climbing experience.) (Also in this time of the year it was cold and at times windy.) I cannot say enough about the Sherpa and the guide. An excellent time and a grand adventure.

The Trip was amazing and it exceeded our expectations!!!!!!
Toni, our Guide, was also Great! He thought of every detail to make our experience the best.
Lynn, our tour guide, met us in our hotel lobby promptly as planned and we headed for our day trip to Hangzhou. We had an easy transfer to the Station. Lynn explained everything and took care of getting us through the security check in and ticketing process. The train ride was very nice. We were met by another driver after the train ride, and we headed to the West Lake area. Lynn was wonderful throughout and answered all our questions and told us about the history of the area during our drive, boat tour and visit to the tea tasting. We even had some time to walk around the city center and do a little shopping before heading back. Overall, a really nice experience for our family! Lynn did an excellent job from start to finish and we would definitely recommend!!
More than a simple trip, our fifteen days in Nepal and Tibet were an unforgettable experience and a wonderful discovery. A very big thank you goes to this local tour operator and its Managing Director, Mr. Kaum Bahadur Subedi, who provided us with expert drivers (absolutely essential on the roads of Nepal) and guides with great expertise and experience. I want to especially mention Rem Raj Gurung who introduced us to the wonderful temples of Kathmandu, now all restored after the 2015 earthquake. A very useful exercise for me also who had visited those temples in the past.
Even more exciting was traveling across the Tibetan plateau. We entered from the border with Nepal - which in itself is an adventure - and we traveled the long way that leads to Lasha, crossing a powerful and unforgettable landscape. Along the plateau we had the Himalayas on the right with its snowy peaks (we also went to admire the north face of Everest with a half-day detour) and on the left another long chain of mountains that outlined a landscape that is hard to find the words to describe.
And then the unforgettable discovery for me, thanks to the guide that Mr Kaum made available to us for Tibet, a profound expert on the religiosity of the Tibetans. The discovery of a people who still live in a deep connection with their past and traditions: in religion, in clothing, in language. But I also found a genuine willingness towards foreigners. And we were among the few Westerners to visit the country.
We also have a beautiful memory of Lasha, a modern city that lives with a past whose strength still seems very alive.

Try Cindy's tour and immerse yourself in cultural quirks like stories about cricket fighting, common people's housings that contrast the skyscrapers, and a tour through the cultural rich Confucius-Temple.
