We need a word to describe this trip: When you have expectations, images, and ideas. I went on this holiday with my family. There were eleven of us, my daughter & her husband, my son & his wife and my 6 Grandchildren ages 8 to 13.
This was a perfect family adventure for us, lots of variety and Tarik was a brilliant, fun leader. The holiday exceeded our expectations. The other families on the trip were like minded people and we all got on very well.
The highlights were swimming with sharks for the children and climbing the magnificent Mayan temples for me.
Sarah Di Sio the booking agent was excellent.
I highly recommend this holiday.

Very enjoyable trip with excellent activities and wildlife. Weather was also perfect throughout the trip and Ernyk was very approachable for any extra assistance. This is a trip I will forever remember for the activities, fun, food, beaches, wildlife and great company. Getting a full holistic experience of Costa Rica with both Caribbean and Pacific culture as well as getting the authentic experience of the homestay. Highlights of Costa Rica was an excellent trip, it packed in many sites and activities. I was a little apprehensive about the float trip but it was slow and gentle and allowed us to get a unique view from the river. The guide was excellent and pointed out lots of aniand birds. The rain and cloud forests didn't disappoint and I thoroughly enjoyed the fast paced trip.

This trip delivers in what is promises, wildlife! From the Green Turtles, Monkeys, and Toucans in Tortuguero to the Humpback Whales in Manuel Antonio we saw plenty of wildlife, all expertly pointed out by our Tour leader Leo. Additional highlights included the Cocao Tour in San Gerado de Dota and the White Water Rafting, both included in the Tour.
As others have mentioned, the tour could do with a slight change in itinerary, getting us out of San Jose and into the cloud forest sooner and the hotel in La Fortuna was a slight dissapointment given how good all the other hotels were, however this did not put a damper on the overall tour.
I can recommend going in the 'off' season too, the weather was no where near as bad as expected and there were fewer tourists to have to contend with!

The trip really packed in some iconic elements of Costa Rica, and lived up to its name in terms of seeing the highlights. It was great to experience the contrast of the Caribbean lowlands, rain forest and the pacific coast. And seeing the abundance of wildlife was incredible, as well as the delicious local dishes and wonderful people we me along the way.
The guide was great, really personable and had good knowledge and a keen sense to show us as much as possible, often stopping en route when he had spied interesting animals from the van.
The Manuel Antonio and the La Fortuna accommodation was great. The Authentico hotel was fine for passing through but we had paid for an additional night in San Jose, and for this purpose the hotel wasn’t in the best of locations as it was on the edge of the city with not much around in terms of restaurants so we felt a bit stuck in the hotel at the end.

Our first explore trip, far exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Allan, and driver, Christian, were both amazing and ensured we had a relaxing, enjoyable, interesting, fun holiday. Adults and kids (13&14) really enjoyed all the activities, both included in the tour and the extra trips - turtles, rafting, zip wires and hot springs. Had an amazing time. Now planning our next explore trip!
