Join us for this fantastic 14-day private trip, where delicious food, inspiring wine, rich culture, and splendid art are on the menu!
Our stunning itinerary begins in Bordeaux, where we invite you to explore France’s ‘Petit Paris’ (little Paris) and the biggest urban World Heritage site in the world. Let yourself be seduced by some of France’s finest wines and inspired by the city’s incredible culinary scene! This voyage of the senses then takes you south, to the Basque Country (both French and then Spanish) where art, culture, and gastronomy are a fundamental part of the local tradition. Your cultural pilgrimage will culminate in Santiago de Compostela; Galicia’s capital known for receiving thousands of visitors every year, many of them, attracted to its ancient history and religious heritage.
See earlier comments. Good way to see a lot of territory. What we did get to were wonderful sites. *Personal details removed by Feefo* was very knowledge and made all the difference in making each excursion truly meaningful. We definitely saw the “highlights”.
Think just over a week isn't enough to get a good look at Europe? The London to Barcelona Quest is here to prove you wrong. Experience the contrast of the bustling city of Barcelona to the wine region of Bordeaux & the seaside San Sebastian to the monuments & museums of Paris. When you uncover France & Spain, you've truly entered the world of Europe.
Rhi Smith did a fantastic job as tour director and Domenico was a great amazing driver.
Very busy tour but covered so much and learnt so much about each country
Coast to coast, city to city, the European Quest is el perfecto! Balancing everything we love about being in Europe. Stunning days spent on the coast of San Sebastian, cultured nights bar hopping in Prague, and enough time in Italy to leave you up to your eyebrows in pizza.
Marvel at Gaudi’s masterpieces in Barcelona, spot locals sipping pastis in Nice and admire Florence the home of Michelangelo and the Renaissance, as you circle the azure waters of the Mediterranean. Embrace the city of Pisa with a stop at the famous leaning tower, where Italian astronomer Galileo was said to have pioneered his theories of gravity. In France, work up an appetite in the medieval streets. In Spain, dine with the locals in Basque tradition with an evening of San Sebastian pintxos tastings, snack-sized tapas, while sipping on a refreshing glass of local Txakoli wine. In Rome, taste the seasonal flavours and of course, handmade pasta.
When I booked the trip back in January, the agency or Europamundo should advise about the olímpics in July that was something didn’t allow us to be able to do a lot of things in Paris.
In addition, when I was booking I didn’t have any help showing us additional options out of tours in the website, but during the trip I found people with different itineraries and for us other options should be better. Even if we are buying thru an agency we should be able to contact Europamundo to give more options.
Europe the easy way- right way to tell what I experienced. I’ve done my fair share of planning trips in my 40s.booking hotels, figuring out trains, missing connections. This time, I wanted ease. These guys delivered. From the moment we landed in Paris, everything was taken care of: the transfers, guides, comfortable hotels, even entrance tickets to major sites.
We explored iconic French towns like Giverny and Amboise, and that day in Mont-St-Michel was something I’ll remember forever. The Spain portion felt like a warm breeze after the cooler French north..Montserrat’s mountaintop monastery was stunning, and I loved our time in Barcelona. The evenings were ours, which meant we could explore or just relax with a glass of wine.
I met people my age from across North America, and it was so refreshing to travel with others who wanted to experience culture, but not at a breakneck pace. Highly recommend for anyone who wants that balance of exploration and comfort.
