At 7:00 am our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan to enjoy a day tour to the Temple of Kom Ombo standing on high grounds overlooking the Nile. It differs from other temples because of its double entrance, each one is dedicated to divinity: "Haroeris" with his falcon head and " Sobek " with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo was built in an honor of two deities the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris or the ancient falcon-headed Horus. Lunch box included. Then you will be transferred to Edfu by road to visit the majestic temple dedicated to Horus which is considered by most to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to the Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus took revenge of the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth. At the end of tour, we transfer you to your hotel in either Aswan or Luxor as per your request.

This trip was fantastic. We participated in most of the optional extras. The best of which was the Balloon ride for the sunrise over the tombs and Nile. Our local explore tour guide Mariam was marvellous and she was so knowledgeable and friendly. Nothing was too much for her. She told us so much interesting information All sites seen in Cairo and on route were wonderful. The Cruise too was a joy. The optional light show in Karnak was not what was expected and I would say give it a miss! The beach extension hotel was clean, pools good, food excellent. The optional snorkelling by a local provider was a great disappointment and not what we had hoped for. Not many fish and not a good reef. But the boat trip was enjoyable too. There is are some areas of hotel need updating. Mini Golf/crazy golf course needs attention. Evening entertainment could have been better, but all in all we had a good relaxing 4 days there.

Then you will be transferred by a private A/C vehicle to Luxor. We will arrive at Luxor at 10:00 am. Start your day tour with a visit to the West Bank of the Nile where you visit the Valley Of The Kings, the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for burial, there are many kings buried in this valley.The most known tombs are King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and AmonhotepII. Followed by a visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut that is known as El Dir El Bahari which was built by Queen Hatshepsut the daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490-1469 B.C), the only pharaonic woman who reigned ancient Egypt. Then continue your day tour to The Colossi of Memnon which are remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Lunch is included at a local restaurant but beverages are not included. After lunch, continue on your day tour to the East Bank where you will visit Karnak & Luxor Temples. Karnak Temple is the greatest example of worship in the history, dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. Spend around 3 hours there, then continue your day tour visiting the Temple Of Luxor, which was built by Amunhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. You will be dropped at your hotel after the tour.

We had a fantastic trip to Egypt. I am a single mum with a 10 and 12 year old. We were in a very small group with just one other family and we had a brilliant time. Mohammed, the group leader was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and fun and made everything run smoothly, even the bits that didn’t (don’t expect the train to be on time, however flashy the new station). He was fantastic with the kids and generous with his experience of all aspects of Egyptian life. The trip is pretty full on but there is downtime built in. We love Egypt and will definitely go back. We’ll also definitely do another holiday with explore. For me, being on my own with the kids, the group meant I got some downtime and everything being so well organised meant I felt like I got a holiday as well! As an added bonus it was no more expensive to have two rooms at the hotels! Would totally recommend.
