This tour was such a great way to explore both Vietnam and Cambodia without stressing over planning everything ourselves. It started in Saigon... super lively and full of energy. The Cu Chi Tunnels were very intriguing.. it’s wild to imagine how people lived down there. One of my favorite parts was the boat ride on the Mekong River.. saw floating marktes.
Hoi An was hands down the most charming place on the trip with lanterns everywhere, cute cafes and lovely shopping.. I bought silk scarves and handmade lanterns.
Hanoi had a completely different vibe, like more historic and chilled. We spent a day just walking around the lakes and old town. Ha Long Bay was unforgettable.. saw limestone cliffs, wow!
The Cambodia part was shorter but still amazing. Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom were mind-blowing..
Overall this tour was well and everything from the hotels to the food and transport was taken care of. It’s a lot to fit in but if you’re looking for an adventure across two beautiful countries.

PRIVATE TOUR: Embark on a private journey through Northern Vietnam, where the vibrant charm of Hanoi's bustling streets meets the serene beauty of Mai Chau, Ninh Binh, and Halong Bay. Explore the picturesque Mai Chau Valley, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Ninh Binh, and cruise Halong Bay on an overnight junk boat cruise.
PRIVATE TOUR: Join this 4-day adventure through Saigon and the Mekong Delta. Begin your journey by exploring the vibrant streets of Ho Chi Minh City, visiting iconic landmarks. Then, venture into the tranquil waters of the Mekong Delta, where you'll discover traditional cottage industries, cruise along palm-fringed creeks, and enjoy a home-cooked lunch with a local family in Ben Tre.
This tour felt like a crash course in Southeast Asia, but in a good way. I wasn’t sure how much ground we could realistically cover in just over a week but this trip proved you don’t need a month to experience something meaningful. Everything was well-organized. What stood out most to me was how different Vietnam and Cambodia felt, even though they’re neighbors.
Hanoi was buzzing with life..scooters zipping by, food stalls everywhere, and this mix of modern and old that was fascinating to watch. Our guide helped us navigate the chaos in a way that made it feel approachable rather than overwhelming. Then, just when things felt fast-paced we got a breather on the Ha Long Bay cruise. Being out on the water was peaceful, the views were unreal.
In Cambodia, Angkor Wat was the big draw, and yes, it was absolutely worth it. But what I didn’t expect was how much I enjoyed the in-between moments.
And while there’s always a lot of walking on these kinds of trips, the pace felt doable, even for those of us who aren’t exactly as young as me (53 :p)
Would I do it again? Definitely. The trip left me feeling like I got a true taste of two cultures.
