I have completed the 12 day Bali intro and it was an amazing trip that I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of travelling. The group leader was great and made sure that everyone knew what was going to be happening, and what activities we would be doing each day, and was also very friendly and approachable with any questions throughout the trip. She also helped everyone with their onward travel after the trip finished.
During the trip we got to visit a local family that made us the most amazing lunch (easily the best food I ate whilst in Bali), which is something I just would not have been able to experience if travelling solo without the tour group.
We also had some free time on a few days, but during that time you can choose to go off and do some other activities that aren;t included too, so we all went scuba diving and had so much fun swimming alongside the tropical fish and the turtles.
The group of people that were on the trip were also brilliant and we all got along so well and enjoyed doing all the activities together, and had a lot of fun when staying at the villa in lovina, playing games in the infinity pool overlooking the gorgeous landscapes, and then relaxing with an Indonesian BBQ and some games by the campfire in the evening.
Overall I would highly recommend this trip to anyone, and can;t wait to get my next one booked! :)
One of the best treks of my life...and I have done >100!
Ever changing mountain backdrop with countless >8000m snowcapped peaks and a blue sky to die for. Apart from the odd bit, the trekking was never too hard, and the tea houses were generally great along the way.
We could not have been happier with our trek with this local travel specialist. The hike around the Manaslu mountain range was absolutely gorgeous, the scenery was breathtaking and much more diverse than we expected. For days, we walked through all kinds of jungle and rainforests - we even saw some wild monkeys, all while the mountains were towering above us in the distance. We walked beneath massive waterfalls and crossed suspension bridges hundreds of meters above the roaring mountain river that the path follows along.
The acclimatization time for the altitude was perfect on this trek, and when we reached the higher mountains we could really enjoy the breathtaking landscape. Seeing Manaslu tower 5000m above you when you are already at over 3000m elevation makes you feel small in the best way possible. In the high mountains we saw dozens of eagles and hundreds of yaks.
The daily hikes were not too long, but still challenging on some days, the perfect distances to keep it interesting but not too exhausting.
What made this trek extremely pleasant more than anything else was our guide Lok. With his funny and open-minded nature he made even the strenuous passages of the trek feel enjoyable. He not only gave us a lot of insights about the trek and the mountains of Nepal but also brought us closer to Nepal's culture and history. Sharing our experiences with other trekkers we met along the way made us even more aware of how lucky we were to have Lok. Through his years of experience he knew all the tricks and always got us the best rooms, just for example. He also responded to our wishes on a daily basis and we were able to shape the trek individually. When one of us was not feeling well and Lok could not find anything suitable in his large first aid kit, he went above and beyond to scout out the pharmacies in every village until the necessary medicine was found.
After returning from the trek, he gave us recommendations for the shops with the best quality for the best prices, which was also very helpful considering the overwhelming number of mountaineering stores in the city.
We booked a porter for the trip and we were so glad we did. Being able to pack that extra sweater or pair of socks at altitude is more than worth it. Our porter was very pleasant and always there to help in the guesthouses.
We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back to do another trek with Lok and this local travel specialist!
A 7-day Langtang trek with this local tour operator is highly recommended! We had five wonderful, tough, fun, beautiful, and overwhelming days of trekking, experiencing Nepal’s raw natural power up close. We hiked from Syabrubesi to Kyanjin Gompa (a 2,400-meter altitude gain!) in three days and descended in two. Along the way, we passed through lush forests, steep mountain slopes, and even snowy trails. When the weather was clear, the views of countless towering peaks were absolutely unforgettable.
The entire experience was guided by our experienced guide, Binod, and our knees were especially grateful to have the kind porter, Rajendra, with us. Binod managed everything perfectly, paid close attention to how we were feeling, and adjusted the pace according to our needs. He was also very aware of altitude sickness symptoms. We took Diamox but didn’t experience any issues. Unfortunately, I caught a bad cold just before the trek, but Binod was ready with medicine, Strepsils, and ginger tea.
He and Rajendra make a fun duo, adding to the fantastic experience! Along the way, the company were easy to reach if we needed any additional assistance – though we never actually had to. We were two sisters on this adventure, and we are SO happy that we gave ourselves this experience!
I had a wonderful adventure to the top of the World. At 66 and fit, I would recommend this to everybody. The Exodus team were wonderful and the whole party got to base camp.
Without Raj, I couldn't have accomplished this trek. Despite my poor English, he managed to understand my needs patiently and tried to fulfill them. Witnessed great mountain veiws everyday.
See you again, Raj.
The Wall of China has to be seen to be believed. You can read the fact that it is 5,500 miles long but the real impact is to see it stretching away from you for miles which ever way you turn. The sheer feat of human endeavour shouts out from every laid brick.
Thank You. Everything was well organized. Especially big thanks to Sherpa Ongchhu and Nabin for excellent company. They are great people, always helpful and we really enjoyed their company. Sherpa Ongchhu is professional with exceptional knowledge about climbing and trekking and if we come to Nepal we want to trek with him.
We had a really nice time on our three passes Trek. I would definitely recommend doing the three passes over the normal Everest base camp trip as views are much nicer and you see more of the Everest region.
Just don't rush the trip too much as you really need the time for acclimatization. Making the trip longer is always the better option then shorter and we have seen quite some people who had big issues with altitude sickness because they went up too fast. There are several peaks you can add additional to the three passes if you have enough time what I would recommend as well.
Be careful with the guide you get, at the end it is your trip so he should really adapt to your wishes. Here you have to be strict that the guide is following your wishes and not you his.
Had an absolute blast on the tour, met so many great people and seen some unreal sights!! Dan and Catty are both legends and done everything they could to make sure everyone had the best time ever and really made our trip one to remember, thanks for everything guys ’–
