I like free and easy trips. But for some local detailed arrangements related to itinerary/activities in various countries, it can be rather challenging. My trip to Yangtze River cruise and travel between Chongqing and Yichang involved details that I am not familiar. Just returned from 13 days trip to Zhangjiajie-FengHuang arranged by Zeva Yan. Both my daughter and I had a great experience with the trip plan, especially when she professionally handled the last minute change of hotel location to cater our need. This was beyond our expectation.
Last but not least, our tour guide lady Olivia, also did a superb job in dealing with my limitation. Every time She tried to find an easier and better route for me with less climbing up down the stairs. She even offered her hand to help me along the way. I am very touch by her patient and caring.

This 10 Days River Rafting Tour starts and ends in Kathmandu. For a detailed itinerary we kindly refer to the Itinerary tab. All rafting will take place in SunKoshi (the river of gold), one of Nepal's best rivers for river rafting. Day 1 and Day 10 will be spent on transport to/from Kathmandu, and the other 8 days will be spent river rafting, enjoying nature, playing games, camping at night - or in short, having a blast!
Running the gigantic waves and the intense yet predictable rapids of the crystal clear Sunkoshi river gives you more than just an adrenaline rush; it makes you feel something which can’t be simply expressed with words, and hence, you gotta try it!
The starting point of the 270 kilometers long river adventure is Dolalghat or Roshi Khola (Nepalthok), which is a 3-hour drive from Kathmandu valley, and the take out point, or end point at Day 10, is Chatara, which is a 16-hour drive from Kathmandu.
From straightforward waves to powerful and intense ones, the rapid of the river changes from class 3 to class 4 as you move further down the river. We will therefore start with easy rapids and slowly get you on top of how to handle bigger rapids.
The best seasons to gain a thrilling and a safe experience of rafting in Sunkoshi is from September to November and May to June. However, please note that Sunkoshi doesn’t just give you a thrilling rafting experience but also gives you a chance to witness Nepal's fascinating nature close up. Great service, amazing experience and great adventure in the mountains!! Gokyo Cho La Pass trek with this tour agency is highly recommended. The agency is an expert in Manaslu region, Karma made all the preparations very smooth. I am a solo traveler and he helped me to find a group. All the communication was very smooth and I always got quick answers. Despite the tight schedule, the agency managed to get all the permits, and we left for the trek the day after arriving in Kathmandu. We have joined a group tour organized by this local travel specialist for Dagala Thousand Lakes trip in 2019.
It was one of the most scenic treks that I have ever been to. All along the way you will be greeted by towering Himalayas like Mountain Jumolhari, Kanchenjunga, Tsheringma and on occasion you may see Mount Everest as well.
I took this trek on end of May when the wild flower was in bloom.
The trek also gives you a glimpse of many glacial lakes.

I had never been to Nepal or to high altitude so it was a challenge for me (at age 64) but I would most definitely do it all again in a heartbeat.

This was an amazing trip made possible by extraordinary guides and drivers. We were met by the lovely Asmita who went to extra mile to prepare us for our trip, and to be sure we had all we needed. She could not be more charming and helpful. On day one, we were driven to the border, very expertly by Raju accompanied by Kersang. We needed an expert as the roads were very windy and not in good condition but it was exciting and we could take in the wonderful scenery and the interesting villages that we passed.
After we crossed, the border which took some time we were met by Tarkye our guide and Cedun our driver. Tarkye was a very mature calm guide, solicitous knowledgeable and very caring. Cedun our driver was also very considerate and helpful which we as a group needed as many of us had not fully anticipated the effects of the high altitude.
However, we were shepherded in an extraordinary manner through magnificent mountainous terrain, and lake filled scenery seeing yaks and other animals on the way. The monasteries were beautiful and Tarkye could answer any questions we had.
This unique and extraordinary trip delivered exactly what it promised. There was a great deal of driving which could be tiring but this was specified up front.
Overall, this was an amazing trip, but it was more physically demanding than anticipated because of the altitude and also being in a relatively small enclosed vehicle carrying 12 people with no space in between each person if one person gets sick it spreads through the group has happened for us. Nevertheless this tour is a once in a lifetime experience in a country as yet relatively undiscovered by western tourists.
