This is an excellent itinerary for first-time travelers to Vietnam. Initially, I assumed that the itinerary was too tight and that we would not have enough time to adequately explore all of the locations we visited, but this was not the case. We were overjoyed and pleased with everything we saw, ate, drunk, and relaxed while on this trip:) Sapa was especially peaceful. Hoi An was highly suggested as a place to stay as well as a city to buy souvenirs and eat/drink.

Journeys: Iconic Thailand was a fabulous experience!!! We had the most wonderful tour guide (shout out to Natthanan Chai Yenklom--the very best!!!!) who looked after every detail and made the experience comfortable and enjoyable for each person on the trip. I loved the varied activities--the home visit and cooking class in Chiang Mai; Ko Klang Island and Hong Island in Southern Thailand; and the amazing temples in Bangkok were particular highlights for me on the trip. I would do another National Geographic Journeys/G Adventures tour in the future!

George our guide was incredible, full of charm, humour & wit he was totally unflappable and his knowledge of his country was encyclopaedic encompassing politics, economics, flora, fauna, religion and animals. This holiday exceeded all my expectations and I really enjoyed it. It was well organised, and the advanced communications leading up to the holiday were excellent. I found their app particularly useful. The basic trips included were excellent and if you add in the additional trips that were available and organised by the tour guide, it gave the whole holiday a wow factor. Sharing life stories and other holiday experiences with the other group members was good and we all had a lot of fun and laughs along the way. All this was facilitated by an amazing tour guide who worked tirelessly in the background to make sure things ran smoothly. His knowledge was good and we learnt so much about the places we visited, the Thai culture, traditions and people.
