Our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby/apartment in the morning at 8:30am. Then you will take subway/public bus to the first destination: South Gate of the ancient City Wall. You can walk on top of the wall or rent a bike and ride along the wall. After the Nanmen visit, we will walk into the city downtown area from South Avenue (Nan Da Jie) to Bell Tower. This area is the most busiest street for local people go shopping and have fun, you can find different stores, shopping malls, cinemas as well as local restaurants around. If you have interest, you can go up to the Bell Tower for a great view of the city center. Then we will turn west and walk to the Drum Tower area nearby. After passing through the base of the tower, turn left down a small side street called Hua Jue Xiang. The street is lined with shops selling souvenirs. When you reach a small intersection, go left to the entrance for the Great Mosque. Wander the lushly landscaped courtyard and note the detail on the mosque doors and gates, but only Muslims can enter the Prayer Hall. The accommodation was just as advertised, the boat was very well presented, clean and excellent facilities. Very pleased with the room. I woke up on the second morning to find they had been up all night and replaced the carpets in some of the public areas!!? The dining area was a lovely place to sit and eat, the food was fabulous, and lots of it too. You kind of expect good service, but the staff on board were exceptional and such good fun too, singing and dancing behind the bar 🙂 Tequila (his name!) went out of his way to make sure everything was alright. I would definitely recommend this trip and also for 2 days. The second day is full of things to do and you're also away from the really busy tourist bits that can only sail so far for one night onboard. I will book again when I return, its fabulous.

Starting with a pickup on arrival in Kathmandu, you will travel by air and land to Mithung, the starting point of the trek. From there you will trek through terraced fields, forests and steep hills to reach Khambachen (4099 m), where you will spend a day acclimatizing. Your journey from Khambachen takes you past the moraines of the Kanchenjunga Glacier to reach Lhonak (4785 m) on Day 13. The sixteenth day of this trek involves crossing the passes of Sinion La (4460 m), Mirgin La (4480 m) and Sinelapcha La (4646 m). Reach Oktang Base Camp the next day. Time to return to Kathmandu and prepare for departure. Continue your journey downhill to Medibung and drive to Ilam. Catch the flight to Kathmandu either from Bhadrapur or Biratnagar. Although far less crowded than Everest Base Camp trail and Annapurna Circuit, Kanchenjunga Circuit is equally beautiful and allows ample opportunities to travellers to see the mighty Himalayas.
