Be part of this fully supported mountain bike trip and enjoy the best cycling trails of Bali in seven days along with some of the most famous highlights on the island. Meet your group members in Canggu. Hop on your bike and hit the trail to Jatiluwih, followed by Bedugul, Mount Abang and Mount Batur.
Five days in a row on a bike can be a bit of a challenge, specially if the track has a lot of variety, and we do not recommend this trip to the uninitiated. But for those who have enough experience, this trip is sure to be a memorable journey.
Pedal through tracks that run uphill, plunge downhill and are everything else in between. Ride around the rim of Mount Batur's caldera on a single track with an ocean on the one side and volcanic mountains on the other and hurtle downhill for 35 km from the volcanic mountain all the way to Ubud.
After the rides, there is time to explore around the destinations, relax on the beach or just chill out with your newfound friends. Please scroll down to go through the itinerary.

When you think of cycling in Nepal, extreme mountain biking on the rugged slopes of the Himalayas probably comes to mind. While there's no shortage of that, this tour invites you to explore a wider range of Nepal’s landscapes and cultures, all while keeping the cycling pace and terrain at a moderate level. From the temperate highlands around Kathmandu to the lush, subtropical plains of the Terai region, and from the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha at Lumbini to the mountain lakes of Pokhara, this 10-day bike tour takes you deep into the heart of Nepal’s rich heritage.
Meeting in the capital of Kathmandu, the first stage of the tour takes us south through the Himalayan foothills, passing pine forests, Nepali villages, and terraced agricultural fields. We enjoy views of snow-capped peaks, hike to a Hindu temple nestled in the woods, and whizz down a winding road to reach the Terai Plains. Following the rice-field-covered banks of the braided Rapti River, we reach the edge of Chitwan National Park, renowned for its subtropical jungles teeming with wildlife. A canoe ride into the park offers a chance to spot rhinos and crocodiles. We then drive west to explore the Sacred Garden of Lumbini, the cradle of Buddhism and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The final stage takes us back into the foothills, where we spend a night in Tansen, a charming hill station, before riding along wild gorges to reach the lakeside city of Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna Range. On the last day, we hike and bike around picturesque Begnas Lake before the tour ends in Pokhara, leaving you the option to continue with trekking or return to Kathmandu by flight.
Join us in discovering Nepal’s rich cultural, spiritual, and natural heritage by bicycle!

You have almost three days packed full of adventure and cultural activities including jungle trekking, visiting ethnic villages, taking a boat cruise and biking around the national park. For the ambitious climbing enthusiast who’s ready to take on some of the best cycling terrain in the world, SpiceRoads presents: Taiwan Traverse. Over 900 kilometers of spectacular winding roads, extreme grades, 10,000 meters of climbing, and exciting descents make this a dream trip for cyclists up for the challenge.
Known for its hyper-modern coastal cities, the interior of the island of Taiwan is an assemblage of peaks. Two mountain ranges predominantly cover most of the island’s geography, the Central and Eastern Mountain Range, and you’ll traverse both of them on this challenging road cycling tour of Taiwan.
Beginning outside of Taipei, gear up for the real ride, with 4 of the tour’s most demanding days coming in quick succession. You’ll tackle peaks and passes, and test your legs on nearly 8,000 meters in this stage as you climb through the Central Mountain Range. The environment is raw and pristine, mostly populated by Taiwan’s aborigines, and we’ll make the most of the humble accommodations available in this remote region. But the best is yet to come. Day 4 culminates in a 60 kilometer descent through Taroko Gorge in the East Rift, a highlight of any trip to Taiwan and special experience to ride through it on two wheels.
A rest day exploring Taroko National Park gives the legs a chance to recover, before heading southbound along the coast and through the foothills, on a route lined with natural hot spring resorts- sure to become an integral part of your evening routine! Over the course of five days, you’ll make your way down the east coast of the island to the Kenting Peninsula and the southernmost point of Taiwan, now having navigated almost the entire length of the island. A final ride into the mountains again, into the aboriginal settlement of Wutai, bids the mountains goodbye as you head for Taiwan’s second city of Kaohsiung for departure.
Incredible and diverse scenery, welcoming local culture, and unparalleled cycling on fabulous roads with minimal traffic set the stage for one of the most challenging rides your legs are sure to remember for a long time to come!
This private bicycle trip is part of our new long-distance cycling programs for the year 2020. Be part of this exciting, three-day adventure to discover the beautiful scenery that South Lombok has to offer as you pedal from Mataram to Pink Beach.
Lombok has great roads with little or no traffic, which makes it perfect for long-distance cycling. During this guided tour, we will travel through small, paved coastal and mountain roads all along the south of the island.
This trip is not technically difficult but requires a good stamina to fully enjoy the 220 km that we will cover in three days. Please note that we can pick you up at the airport in on Day 1 if you were to arrive in one of the first flights of the day. However, the pickup can also be arranged from Mataram or Kuta Beach (the pickup from these two places is scheduled between 7:00 am and 7:30 am). On Day 3, we can drop you off at Lombok airport (ETA 5:00 pm) or Kuta Beach (ETA 5:00 pm).

Once the stopover for ancient nomadic Bedouins, Jordan is now enthralling a new generation of adventure travellers. Follow in the footsteps of Roman Emperor Hadrian, the Prophet Moses, and Lawrence of Arabia and explore the majestic ruins of bygone civilizations, the uber-salty Dead Sea, and the bare sands of Wadi Rum. Mountain biking on former caravan routes offers a local perspective, getting you up close and personal to the shepherds and perhaps even to a camel or two.
From vibrant and urban Amman, flanked by ancient citadels and Roman ampitheatres, we explore this oasis of the Middle East from north to south. When possible we transfer high and bike down, including a descent to the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea. Float and cover yourself in mud before heading up to Mount Nebo, where Moses looked across at the Promised Land, from which we descend to the edge of the Dana Nature Reserve, a bird watcher's paradise. Dirt trails take us along a ridge and eventually above Petra, though the city itself is purposefully difficult to see and will be discovered the next day on foot. Trade ancient civilizations for the stark desert of Wadi Rum, also known as the valley of the moon. We re-hydrate at the Red Sea, our last stop in southern Jordan.
Jordan will be unveiled to you in a myriad of layers, from ancient ruins, vibrant culture, unique overnights to exquisite cuisine and all while biking the length of the country.
This three-day, private tour is specially designed for those riders who like to push themselves a little harder. Covering 160 km, 80 percent of which is off-road, and traversing some of the best single tracks that Bali has got to offer, this trip is sure to be an amazing adventure.
The first day of the tour involves a trip to Bedugul. See the beautiful Lake Beratan and enjoy cycling around 45 km through one of Bali's best single tracks. Your next playground is the iconic Mount Batur, where you will ride through a lava stream created by the last eruption. Cycle downhill from the rim of Mount Abang volcano all the way to Tangkup on the last day of the tour.
If you love mountain biking and don't mind a bit of a challenge, then this is the trip for you. Please scroll down to the itinerary section for more details.
From the shores of the Dead Sea to the top of ancient Petra, Jordan is a country as rich in surreal landscapes as it is in natural charm. Places such as the ruins of ancient Jerash seem so perfectly preserved, it’s almost as if they froze in time; Mount Nebo, said to once be savoured by Moses as he looked on towards the Promised Land, offers views revered since antiquity; and the deserts around Wadi Rum seem to glow the colour of the earth’s blood. Experience the best that Jordan has to offer as you feel the winds of the desert shift into the breath of the mountain, all the while pedalling from the top of your faithful bike.
If you love mountain biking and want to explore the outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley on a mountain bike, then we have a great option for you.
