A fantastic 11 days in Cambodia exploring the country side, learning about the culture and the genocide.
From the moment I met Hul, I knew he was going to be a joy to be around. His fun, witty nature is just what is required for being a tour guide. Hul has been really knowledgable on all aspects of history and Cambodian culture. He is super organised and explains to everyone where they need to be. Hul makes sure he brings the party wherever he goes and ensures everyone is having a good time. It was amazing for him to bring us along to his families houses and get to experience where he grew up and how life is in Cambodia, I will never forget how warm the family welcomed us while we had their rice wine and home cooked lunch. I am so glad Hul was our tour guide and he made the experience unforgettable.
We started our trip from Sotikhola though the jeep can go up to Machhakhola.
we didn't expect good Lodges in this trip but our tour operator provided us majority of the stay attached room with comfortable bed. Food was yummy.
took jeep from Dharapani as we didn't want to walk along the road.
Overall a GREAT trip away in Nepal. Our WE Guide from Nepal (Rishi) was absolutely fantastic, together with all our guides, porters, cook and drivers. What an adventure we had, hard, some days extremely difficult for those of us over 60+, but well worth the pain and suffering....we just suffered together!

See the contrast of the futuristic and the ancient on this 11-day journey from Astana to Bishkek. You’ll see the Central Asian landscape change from the vast expanse of flat countryside to winding mountain roads. Visit the Silk Road ruins of Otrar, stand in awe of the grand Yasaui Mausoleum, explore Astana’s monuments (that might remind you of Star Trek) and wander the cultural capital of Almaty. Hike the incredible Kolsai Lakes to see sunken forests, deep canyons and valleys and take a scenic boat ride on the alpine waters of Issky-kul Lake, bringing it home in charming Bishkek.
