We went on a 8 day trek to Jomsom/Muktinath. This trek has lost its popularity over the years because of the jeep road, making it easy to cover the distance by car. But that made the experience less touristic and more authentic for us. With on average 6 hours of hiking every day, the views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri (2 of the 10 highest mountains in the world) were stunning.
The nature was blooming: Nepal's national flower Rhododendron was flowering in a beautiful dark red color, and we ate delicious, freshly picked Nepali oranges on the way.
The culture was most interesting: some of the architecture of the old villages we passed through made you feel like you were going back in time. Most of the people still work by hand. We saw women next to the road smashing large rocks into smaller ones using a hammer!
Special thanks to our guide Dev, who is very knowledgeable and caring, and porter/hero Nema, who saved my girlfriends hat which fell into a canyon after a strong wind caught it. We enjoyed every minute with them!

The Gosainkunda Lake Trek will allow you to see the beautiful holy lake of Gosainkunda. The trekking route is moderate and provides spectacular views of both the Langtang and Ganesh Himal mountain ranges.
This Gosainkunda Lake Trek is a journey through the isolated Tamang villages with minimal effort and mostly in a peaceful environment. Gosainkunda Lake itself is an alpine freshwater lake located North of Kathmandu valley having several other smaller lakes around it. It is said that there are 106 lakes around the main Gosainkunda Lake.
Lauribinayal, a place before reaching Gosainkunda, provides excellent views at sunrise and sunset over the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. You can therefore look forward to getting here.

This 10 Days River Rafting Tour starts and ends in Kathmandu. For a detailed itinerary we kindly refer to the Itinerary tab. All rafting will take place in SunKoshi (the river of gold), one of Nepal's best rivers for river rafting. Day 1 and Day 10 will be spent on transport to/from Kathmandu, and the other 8 days will be spent river rafting, enjoying nature, playing games, camping at night - or in short, having a blast!
Running the gigantic waves and the intense yet predictable rapids of the crystal clear Sunkoshi river gives you more than just an adrenaline rush; it makes you feel something which can’t be simply expressed with words, and hence, you gotta try it!
The starting point of the 270 kilometers long river adventure is Dolalghat or Roshi Khola (Nepalthok), which is a 3-hour drive from Kathmandu valley, and the take out point, or end point at Day 10, is Chatara, which is a 16-hour drive from Kathmandu.
From straightforward waves to powerful and intense ones, the rapid of the river changes from class 3 to class 4 as you move further down the river. We will therefore start with easy rapids and slowly get you on top of how to handle bigger rapids.
The best seasons to gain a thrilling and a safe experience of rafting in Sunkoshi is from September to November and May to June. However, please note that Sunkoshi doesn’t just give you a thrilling rafting experience but also gives you a chance to witness Nepal's fascinating nature close up. We are famous for our mountains, but we surely have a lot of other great foras and faunas.
During the trip, you will pass many ethnic villages and their culture, various species of birds and other wildlife. When our family decided to travel to India we didn't know which travel agent to use because we couldn't find a tour company in Australia to tailor our holiday, so after searching I stumbled across this tour company, it had good reviews so I went with them. We decided to go on the Golden Triangle, Mumbai and Goa Tour, we were able to choose the dates we wanted to travel and the level of accommodation. We went 3 stars for all of our accommodation which was good. We also decided to take the train from Mumbai to Goa first class and that was the best experience seeing so much from the train. Our whole trip went smoothly we had a representative every place we went, Arshad Khan in New Delhi was the best he was very engaging compared with other representatives. A driver who spoke english was sufficient we really didn't need anyone else, we received phone calls from the tour company everyday to see if everything is going well. Overall we would use and recommended this tour company in the future.

This was a wonderful, varied trip with a good mixture of culture, beautiful scenery, activities and history, both ancient and soberingly more recent. Our guide Binh was fantastic; funny, kind, patient and very knowledgeable, he was a highlight of our trip. The accommodation was all very comfortable and the food was amazing. As a vegetarian, travel can be tricky, but there were lots of delicious options. I highly recommend this trip for the first time visitor to Vietnam.
