I had an amazing wonderful experience visiting Bhutan with this company over the past week. From the start to the end of the trip, I was very well taken care of by Tsenrig (owner), Kar Chung (guide) & Leki (driver). My itinerary was adapted to my likings (nature, local cultural experience & food) and Maebar delivered well!
Key highlights of the trip include: leisurely walks across the pine forests at Phobjikha Valley & rustic authentic villages, a challenging hike to Tiger's Nest at 4000m high, a unique local hot stone bath & cuisine dinner in a village home, immersing myself in ancient architectures & monastery way of life at Punakha and Rinpung Dzongs hundreds of years old etc.
All hotel lodgings arranged were very comfortable, clean & spacious. The all inclusive food was a good mix of familiar international cuisine, as well as additional local Bhutanese food.
I leave Bhutan with fond memories and appreciation of its unique & rich heritage. Many thanks to Tsenrig, Kar Chung and Leki for a wonderful trip!
My family went to Bhutan in July this year. Mr. Jovi helped us organize everything and He was amazing. So helpful, clear communication, and efficient every step of the way. He helped answer many questions about my travel in Bhutan as well which was so nice of him. Me and my daughter traveled to Nepal and chose Mardi Himal trek.
I’m an active 60 years lady. This trek was hard sometimes but we had enough time to go slowly and enjoy the view, take photos, have tea and coffee with Mountain View. Mardi Himal trek is new but amazing.
After Mardi we did Poon Hill trek because we had time and wanted to continue the adventure. It was a great trek to see local villages, rivers, forests. We also had the best tour guide Ramesh. Thank you, my friend for being such a professional and caring tour guide.

He provided excellent contextual overviews and made the experience for everyone fun and most enjoyable. He was great at getting everyone moving through the events without a lot of waiting on others... truly passionate about the tour stops and ensuring all had a great time.

Our Last Shangri-la Tour begins with sightseeing in the country’s capital, Thimphu, where we visit landmarks such as the Memorial Chhorten, mini- zoo, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, folk heritage museum and the majestic Tashichho Dzong.
Next, we travel to Punakha via Dochu La pass (3,100 m) and visit the Chimi Lhakhang temple along the way. We will also visit the Punakha Dzong and explore the amazing Gangtey village before heading to Paro.
In the beautiful Paro valley, we visit Rinpung Dzong and Kichu Lhakhang temple. Our tour ends with a hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which is a perfect way to end one's journey in the last Shangri-La.

This trek is suitable to even people who are not physically very fit. The maximum altitude will be 4,100 m meaning that we will not have any issues with acclimatisation either.

This trek was a perfect choice for a first introduction to the Himalayas and was great for a schedule that included more sightseeing around Nepal.
