Annapurna & Dhaulagiri Trek

We went on a 8 day trek to Jomsom/Muktinath. This trek has lost its popularity over the years because of the jeep road, making it easy to cover the distance by car. But that made the experience less touristic and more authentic for us. With on average 6 hours of hiking every day, the views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri (2 of the 10 highest mountains in the world) were stunning.
The nature was blooming: Nepal's national flower Rhododendron was flowering in a beautiful dark red color, and we ate delicious, freshly picked Nepali oranges on the way.
The culture was most interesting: some of the architecture of the old villages we passed through made you feel like you were going back in time. Most of the people still work by hand. We saw women next to the road smashing large rocks into smaller ones using a hammer!
Special thanks to our guide Dev, who is very knowledgeable and caring, and porter/hero Nema, who saved my girlfriends hat which fell into a canyon after a strong wind caught it. We enjoyed every minute with them!
Mohare Danda Trek
Here is an amazing opportunity to get away from the usual, more crowded trekking destinations. The recently opened Mohare Danda (3313m) is a perfect alternative. Stay in community-owned lodges or homestays, a great way to appreciate the local traditions and lives of the people in this region. The focus of this trek is to protect the natural environment and to give trekkers a feeling of being part of the community when they stay with families who live in this wonderful location.
The Mohare Danda Trek in the foothills of the Annapurna Region is also known as the Eco-Lodge Community Trek. This region is rich in fauna and flora with dense pine, oak and bamboo forests – especially rhododendron forests and their magnificent pink, white and red flowers. From a vantage point of over 3000 meters, you will have breathtaking panoramic views of many large mountain ranges in the Himalayas, such as the 120 km long Dhaulagiri Massif and the Annapurna Massif.
This trek is also cultural experience that brings you in direct contact with local families in Magar and Gurung villages. Trekkers will appreciate the unique culture and hardiness of the villagers living in this remote region. Their genuine smiles are infectious and their kindness is second to none.
The Mohare Danda Trek is a perfectly suited short trek for individuals and families that begins at Pokhara and heads into the incredibly beautiful Annapurna region. We will take care of all paperwork and permits, and all meals and accommodation are included in the package!

I recently completed the Manaslu & Tsum Valley trek, and it’s safe to say it was one of the most rewarding and culturally rich experiences I’ve had in the Himalayas.
From the start, the communication with the company was clear, prompt, and reassuring. They helped tailor the itinerary slightly to suit my pace and interests, and everything from permits to logistics was handled smoothly—which is no small feat in such a remote region.
Our guide, was fantastic—not only knowledgeable about the trails, villages, and cultural nuances, but also genuinely caring and adaptable. He struck the perfect balance between giving us space to take in the environment and stepping in when needed (especially during the tougher parts of the trail).
The trek itself is stunning but not for the faint-hearted. Compared to more well-known routes like Annapurna or Everest, this one feels wilder and less developed, which was exactly what I was looking for. The trails wind through deep gorges, suspension bridges, serene monasteries, and small villages that still feel untouched by mass tourism. Tsum Valley in particular felt incredibly special—like stepping into another world, with its Tibetan-influenced culture and timeless pace of life.
Accommodation was understandably basic in many places, but my guide chose the best available tea houses and kept me and the others well-fed and comfortable. Even during the colder nights at higher altitudes, we always felt looked after.
Overall, this trek was physically demanding, culturally immersive, and emotionally grounding. It’s not your typical tourist trail, and that’s exactly why I’d recommend it—and especially go with a reputable company —to anyone seeking a more authentic Himalayan adventure. In a safe way!

Mohare Danda Trek: Return via Poon Hill
A newly discovered, less-crowded route in the Annapurna region, Mohare Danda is perfect for those who wish to take a quiet, less trodden route without missing out on the natural landmarks of this region. Join us on this guided, eleven-day trek and be part of an amazing experience.
Starting with a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, this trip will take you to Pokhara from where you will drive to Galeshwar, the starting point of the trek. The trail to Mohare Danda will take you through Ban Kharka and Nadi. Spend a night in Mohare Danda and continue your journey to Ghorepani via Poon Hill.
From Ghorepani the trail descends to Ghandruk followed by Birethanti, from where you will drive to Pokhara. Although this route is yet to gain popularity in the trekking world, it does offer great scenery. In fact, some even rank Mohare Danda over Poon Hill when it comes to the Himalayan panorama that one can see from this place.

Trek to Siklis: 11 Days

We had awesome trek to see Gurung community with the help of Sujan and the local operator. We managed historic hill trek to Siklis still retains an aura of old times. Historically, Siklis is renowned as one of the major origin places of Gurung Community. Here, we find the various ritual practices of Gurungs especially the works of Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest), who have important roles in marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Traditional technologies like alcohol fermentation, weaving clothes and sacks from the wild nettle, weaving various bamboo products, traditional water mills and stone grinders, wooden threshers etc are also the important features of Siklis. In this region we spot Nepals birds of prey including the 9ft wingspan Lammergeyer. The region is rich in flora and fauna particularly birds and butterfly because of its pristine forested surroundings and the great mountain views add an excitement. The experience was just awesome. Khopra Ridge Trek: 11 Days
Join us on this 11-day Khopra Ridge trek, a great alternative to the popular and crowded Ghorepani trek. Despite not being as popular as the Ghorepani trek, this trek nevertheless allows you to enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas while taking you through forests, highland pastures and small villages.
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara on the first day of the trek. You will reach the famous Gurung village of Ghandruk the next day and continue the journey uphill via Tadapani, Dobato and Chistibung. Reach Khopra Ridge on the sixth day of the trip. Travel to Khayer Lake the day after that and lose yourself in the glistening turquoise waters of the lake before heading down to Pokhara via Swanta, Ulleri and Nayapul.
