All in all, we were really delighted with the service that we received from you. Thanks!
Our favourite part of the trip was the week we spent in the North West driving ourselves. We would definitely like to do that again and spend more time in some of the villages and towns.
Feedback and thoughts on the various activities and places we stayed and visited: I have written reviews on TripAdvisor for most of them, you can find me under the username fractal if youd like to read them
We liked all the hotels we stayed in. Each one was just right for its location and suited us perfectly. If we had to pick, probably our two favourites were Hacienda de Molinos in Molinos and Finca Adalgisa in Chacras de Coria.
Hacienda de Molinos had great charm and the food was excellent. We loved our room and would have liked to have spent a couple of days there. The Vinas de Cafayate had great views and the room was nice. The food in their restaurant was also quite good.. The Design Suites Hotel in Salta was great.our room on our first couple of nights was nicer than the room we had when we returned.the first room had a better view. The breakfasts were a little boring.
La Comarca in Purmamarca was really nice. It had great views of the mountains and was spacious.
One thing we did notice..Argentina is a wine country and yet only one or two of the hotels had wine glasses in the rooms.we had to ask!!
The agents on the ground were mostly very good.

Salkantay Trek is a popular alternative to the very-crowded classic Inca Trail. It offers more distance, more mountains, more scenery, and a wider variety of landscapes, but still concludes with a visit to the iconic city of Machu Picchu. As the route does not have as many regulations as the Inca Trail, this also means that it can provide a “back door” trek to Machu Picchu when Inca Trail permits are sold out. This new itinerary, Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu via Llaqtapata, includes the highlights of the other Salkantay trek, but avoids many of the areas that are becoming crowded with other trekkers.
This trip is fully-inclusive, including a guide, accommodation, meals and transportation.
Duration: 5 days/4 nights
Distance trekked: about 50km
Elevation: 1900-4600m

This trip comes with bragging rights. It’ll take you to Machu Picchu by a route that most tourists don’t even know exists. The trek combines the beauty of the mountains with a cultural visit to two different villages, deep in the mountains.
The trek starts in Lares and takes you through a swathe of the Sacred Valley that’s home to many traditional weavers and farmers. In this part of Peru, the valleys and peaks of the Andes crest and fall like ocean waves, and the hoof marks of alpacas are more common than footprints.
You will also have the chance to enjoy the hot springs, which are divided into various pools ranging from freezing cold to boiling. They are all composed of pure volcanic water, which is medicinal in nature and considered to be good for your bones, stress, muscles and headaches.
Hike through Colombia's most famous mountainous terrain during this 5-day, guided trip. Enjoy the varied, stunning natural beauty of the region whose landscape dramatically changes from snowy mountains to lush, green forest within a small area. Climb to the top of a glaciated volcano peak, hike past a paramo and travel through a cloud forest.
Enjoy our private pickup service from Pereira's airport and drive to Potosi, a farming area just outside Los Nevados National Park. Start hiking from the the Nevado de Santa Isabel trailhead, which starts at an altitude of 4000m above sea level.
Climb to the top of the Santa Isabel Volcano. See glacier lakes along the way. Travel to Laguna de Otun, a lake fed by the Santa Isabel Glacier. Enjoy walking through the lush green landscape of a paramo, a variety of alpine tundra ecosystems known for being home to spongy species of plants with succulent stems used to store moisture. See frailejones (cactus-like plants), rabbits and Andean condors along the way.
Travel through a cloud forest whose lower parts are dominated by giant wax palm trees, the tallest palm trees in the world that shoot up to 60m into the sky. End your journey in the Cocora Valley. Visit the quaint, colonial town of Salento, known for its colorful, sprawling mansions, and drive to the airport for your departure flight.
