This well-rounded adventure focuses on South America’s heavy hitters – the Amazon, the Galapagos and the Andes. Take 25 days to explore these wildly different parts of the region. Snorkel the turtle-filled waters of Leon Dormido, then wander the ancient cobblestone streets of Cusco. Visit an organic farm where giant tortoises roam freely, and later conquer the 4215-m-high Dead Woman’s Pass on the Inca Trail. Hike to the top of one of the most active volcanoes in the Galapagos, then stand in awe of the man-made elegance of Machu Picchu. This is an immersive and active trip in two of South America’s bucket-list destinations.

Revel in the excitement of crossing the famed Drake Passage, with the convenience of a northbound return flight at the end of your expedition. Minke and humpback whales or adélie penguins floating on ice floes may greet you as you pass, en route to the northernmost tip of the Antarctic Peninsula. The surreal silence in this vast wilderness may overwhelm at first, but playful, charismatic wildlife and your intrepid traveling companions keep you grounded. You’ll develop a new appreciation and understanding of Antarctica’s extreme contrasts – harsh, rugged mountain peaks and fragile ecosystems; stark, lonely icescapes and populous, gregarious penguins.
Any voyage to Antarctica is an adventure, but visiting in the early spring offers unique experiences. See penguins coming ashore to build their nests, and compete for mates. Marvel at the snowy untouched landscapes, and experience the magic of spring sunsets over the frozen mountains. Departing Argentina's southernmost city of Ushuaia, crossing the Drake Passage, we set sail towards the South Shetland Islands. Delve deep into the inlets and bays of the Antarctic Peninsula, entering the famous Gerlache Strait, where glittering ice cliffs and precipitous peaks rise straight out of the frigid water. Icebergs, glaciers, mountains and rugged snowfields characterise this wildly beautiful landscape. On no other journey can you experience so much pristine nature and varied wildlife in such a short time. We will set foot on land to experience penguin rookeries, research stations and historical sites, as well as Zodiac-cruise through scenic bays filled with giant icebergs, whales and seals. A plethora of Antarctic wildlife and jaw-dropping scenery awaits on this great adventure to the Great White Continent.

This was my first G adventure. I did not know what to expect but I was very happy with the result. I loved how we got to see places that I never would have seen if I went on my own. I met a few really nice people that I am actually meeting up with New York City next month. I love how it was action packed with a little downtime as well. Rosa was great. She explained things and was very nice and sweet to deal with. I’d highly recommend the adventures.
