This was my 5th Contiki and it was another unforgettable experience. The trip manager () was excellent, a true expert in all things South American. My only constructive comment is linked to the number of days spent in Buenos Aires. The add ons and city were disappointing compared to the rest of the trip. I can't believe we spent so long there. I would have much rather spend more time in the Amazon or in Rio.

This was one of my favorite trips. The itinerary was good, our tour guide was excellent and the small group tours allow for more flexibility more time at locations when everyone agreed to make small changes. Their prices are also very reasonable even as a single traveler.

Next, you will travel to incredible places as Genovesa Island and Darwin Bay, where you will have the chance to see the Red-footed Boobies, as well as experience on sand, rock and lava formations so common in this area. Your next destinations will be Plaza Island and Santa Fe Island, where you will be immediately distracted by the abundant sea lions. On different stops you will have the chance to spot different variety of birds, such as Blue Footed Boobies, Frigate Birds, Red- Billed Tropicbirds, Swallow-Tailed Gulls. The trip is incredible. The scenery varies every day and you'll ride on all possible terrains: sand, rock, gravel, tarmac and every day offers a lot of fun. The landscape of the Moon Valley in Chile is surreal and the Tatio geyser excursion is a stunning experience. Chile and Argentina are lovely countries; the areas visited still haven't been reached by mass tourism and you barely see any other tourists while travelling.

This guided tour takes you to explore the islands of Santa Cruz, North Seymour, Española and San Cristobal from a different perspective than usual. You can walk with the Galapagos tortoises at the Santa Cruz highlands, swim with hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, octopuses and an array of tropical fish at Kicker's Rock and spot marine iguanas and waved albatross at one of their only known nesting sites.
The tour company left a message at our hotel telling us what time they would pick us up the next day. They were exactly on time which was great. Our tour guide (Frank) was absolutely wonderful. So informative and he spoke english and spanish so well. I liked the fact there were only about 7 or 8 in our group too. It meant you had no trouble hearing what was being said. The walking tour of Valparaiso was a great way to see the place and if there was anything anyone in the group particularly wanted to look at it wasn't a problem. Lunch was at your own cost but it was a great restaurant that was chosen with wonderful views of Valparaiso. Visiting Vina Del Mar was good also and finishing the tour with a wine tasting in the Casablanca Valley was the perfect end to the day.
