Overall and excellent trip with a diverse group of 10 travellers. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour especially the boat trip to Rinko and Komodo islands. Flores is under development and extremely rural with glorious verdant vegetation and stunning landscapes. A real ‘away from it all’ destination. Bali was very busy with dreadful traffic, however the area this tour goes to offered some tranquility from the hubbub. The boat trip exceeded expectations, was very comfortable with great friendly service. Despite being told we would have a shared multi-berth cabin, we had our own with bathrooms! To finish at the beach in Jimbaran was a great way to relax and restore our energy before the long journey home. Tip: massages are excellent and very cheap!! Highlight: Komodo dragons, snorkelling on pink beach -fabulous!

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. I experienced the Amalfi Coast in a much more intimate setting yet seeing much much more of the coast than I ever anticipated, thanks to our excellent and caring guide, Gennaro. The hikes were challenging but Gennaro was excellent in helping me to adjust to the pace that I needed. The views everyday were well worth the amount of steps I had to climb. The hotel staff was excellent and nice to have a quiet town to return to each evening away from the large tourist crowds in each town.

It’s been the best trip I’ve been on ever! My trip manager really made this journey worry free. I did so much activities such as Kayaking, surfing, helicopter ride. I saw many animals in their natural habitats. I learnt a lot about this country’s history. Everything was wonderful and I was really sad when it came to an end.

Fantastic!! Trafalgar captured the feeling, essence and flavour of Portugal. The Trafalgar tour director Jay did an excellent job in choreographing the experience. All of us on the tour and bus became a happy family including our great bus driver, Mario. The guides were exceptional and very informative and personable. We had excellent weather, too. In comparison to other tours people shared with me, Trafalgar knocked it out of the park and this was especially true of the dining experiences where we dined like the locals. Looking forward to our next Trafalgar Tour!! Gary & Janice

The tour hit the highlights of the country. Tour guide Pedro, and local specialists filled in the historic information in an entertaining way. Pedro was particularly good. Stops at the horse ranch vineyards and wineries gave some insight into the local culture. The route gave us exposure to the beauty of the countryside. I enjoyed the old forts and the history surrounding them. As with other tours we toured more than enough churches for my liking but I know this is a big part of the history of Europe in general. Pedro was great. The local specialist in Lisbon explained the exploration exploits of the Portuguese in the 14-1500’s. History as taught when I went to school focused on the English French and Spanish. I had no idea of the part of Portugal. Great trip

A really lovely week

I’ve had a wonderful week - challenging at times but so worth the effort. Hotel was sweet with friendly staff. The local restaurants were very good too . Liz was a really fantastic guide - attentive, kind and extremely knowledgeable of the local area.
