The Van Gogh museum is unique as we are able to dive in the complex mind of a painter in a time of great change. Through the different steps in his career, in Holland, Paris, Arles or Saint Remi we see a dramatic evolution of an artist in constant search for himself and for the world. And this in a carreer that lasted only 9 years. The only advantage about only selling one painting in his whole career is his legacy: An astonishing collection of 200 works that enables us to meet the most puzzling painter of his time.
We will have 2 hours to explore the entire collection. Mostly in small groups there will be space for questions and as the artist still remains a mystery, discussion. More than only a tour about an artist, it is a tour about what it means to be an artist and what approach artists have towards the world that surrounds them.

It was our first experience biking in the Netherlands. We felt prepared for the trip because of all the communication was so well shared. The bike routes were AMAZING! We upgraded a little with the hotels and exceeded our expectations. The luggage delivery was flawless. Overall, we highly recommend this company for future bike tours.
It was a wonderful way to get a taste of four European cities: Amsterdam, Heidelberg, Lucern and Paris. our guide and our driver did a great job whisking us through the cities safely and enjoyably in about a week. We saw alot. I plan to visit each place again!

The Stedelijk Museum offers a great journey through time and explores the whole story of modern and contemporary art. How can we find a connection between such different artists as Van Gogh and Jeff Koons? What could bring Monet and Newman together? This is a journey through time, the story of a century and the questions that artists asked themselves. Every room offers a decade of art, a period and a style, but they are not separate from each other. They talk to each other and form a never ending discussion. We can join them in their quest and ask ourselves where will be the art of the future.
This museum also offers temporary exhibitions that you could explore for yourselves after the tour. The tour will last approximately 2 hours.

Take a look at a working mill and imagine yourself back in time in the charming and authentic mill shop.
Enjoy nature in National Park South Kennemerland: protected Dutch dunes with many species, flora and fauna. Bike through ancient forests and meet large herbivores such as Scottish highland cattle, fallow deers and Konik horses.
Look out over sea while sipping a drink at one of the best beach clubs in Bloemendaal aan Zee (Bloemendaal at Sea).
Reflect at one of the eight memorial stones erected in memory of the 422 resistance fighters who were shot in the dunes just before liberation by the Germans in World War II.

Best bang for your buck. The only way to see as much of Europe as we did in 18 days. Often times you do not have very much time in certain cities/towns, but the travel directors do their best to make sure you hit the highlights and have a good experience. You just have to know going in that this is an introductory trip to all the wonders of Europe. That being said, we had a fantastic time. No real complaints other than feeling short on time in some locations,, as expected. Would highly recommend for someone’s first experience in Europe and I even enjoyed it as a repeat traveler as this tour went to some unique places such as Saint Paul de Vence and Colmar. Optional excursions were also all excellent and included meals at hotels were surprisingly good.

Had two goats ( and ) that made my contiki the best experience possible. The driving and greetings every morning were absolutely phenomenal and the guide yapped so much I gained knowledge of each and every single city:). Which I am super grateful for, I can now offer history lessons to anyone. Nah but seriously an absolute legend who made travelling Europe the ultimate dream. Radiated good vibes every second of the day which allowed me to feel completely safe in countries I’ve never been to. Not a second went by where I felt like my needs, welfare and happiness were not met. They both truly made this experience enjoyable and stress free so big thanks to them. Having had them as my on road team I know I’ll be back on more contiki’s in the future. Forever wishing them the best as well as in his next race.
