The trip exceeded all of my expectations. Thanks to our guide and driver we saw the Big 5 and a lot more. Their knowledge of the environment, animals and culture was outstanding and enhanced the trip at every turn.
The accommodations were variable, always clean and with hot water but some places were tired and in need of updating. Air conditioning was a must as it was hot and humid, however most were noisy and not good for a light sleeper.
The staff were always helpful and friendly.
Food in the hotels and restaurants was plentiful and there was always fish or chicken for those less adventurous, accompanied by mountains of rice or pasta.
We were able to meet the locals, often visiting their homes, and learn about their cultures and beliefs. Also how they lived off the land and produced most of the food they need for the villages and to sell at the market stalls. We were able to try our hand at weaving, dying cloth and making garments. All extremely interesting and an education.
We experienced Kayaking, canoeing, climbing through the tree canopies in the forest along rope bridges plus lots of other activities. All under the guidance and care of our very informative tour guide Oscar and driver Prince.
Our tours through the castles was quite daunting, learning how the slave trade treated people was shocking.
All in all our holiday was an exceptional experience, if not quite exhausting. We were disappointed with the lack of wildlife but was not through lack of exciting safari drives trying to find the animals, with so much else going on our cameras were never idol.

Great guide and driver. We covered just under 3000 km so you do spend time travelling but it is a large country. Some accommodation in beautiful lodges. This tour is a photographer's dream.

My trip exceeded my expectation. the only negative was my flights, I had too long a layover both ways in Frankfurt. I would have paid an additional amount for a better travel itinerary.
This tour of South Africa was amazing, I definitely recommend.
It wasn't too full on, there was time to relax, but still got to see so much.
There are a lot of long drives, but we did cover a lot of South African Starting in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and ending in Cape Town.
The 2 day Safari was brilliant.
However it can get very cold on the Safari make sure you have plenty of layers on, I made the mistake of not wearing enough clothes and got very cold.
Although seeing so many different animal's and birds was mesmerising.
Zip lining in the rainforest was great fun, although an extra, I was so glad I did it.
The whale watching was amazing lots of whales and we even saw the calf with its mother. This was also extra but definitely worth doing.
The Penguins colony, also great.
The views from the coach of the Garden Route were stunning.
Cape Town Harbour is lovely so much going on and a great choices of food to choose from. I would recommend booking extra nights in Cape Town, there isn't enough time to see and do everything in Cape Town.
Table Top Mountain was amazing I felt like I was in the clouds.
Going to Robin Island for me it was a must do, seeing were Nelson Mandela was imprisoned and listening to a former political prisoner tell his story was very emotional.
I would have loved to had 2 or 3vextra days in Cape Town
Most of the hotels we stay in were beautiful.
I loved this tour.

This was an amazing trip. Our guides were fantastic, especially Hamid. The food, the hike, and the mountains were wonderful. The stops to visit locals also great. I did have a very disappointing experience with the pre/post hotel. They stored our bags while we were on the hike. Typically hotels tag your bags. They did not. When we returned from the hike my bag was missing. The Kennedy hotel manager sort of shrugged his shoulders and said someone must have taken it by mistake. I said, why don’t they tag the bags so that doesn’t happen. No answer nor did they ever once check in on me again. Not their problem. I remembered that I had put in an Apple AirTag in my bag and found it was actually in Milan. No one had reported taking the wrong bag the whole time we were gone. Hamid took it upon himself to use the Milan address I had, to google around and find the tour group who might have taken the bag. He found the bag and coordinated with me discussing with the other party to get it sent to Spain where I was to continue my holiday with my wife. The hotel was absolutely useless and I would not recommend them. I asked if they knew someone who could wash my hike clothes and they did that for me. Then tried to charge me for the washing at checkout. Hamid continue to check in with me several days later as the bag took nearly a week to arrive. After being such a wonderful guide throughout the trip sharing personal experiences and taking the time to make sure everyone made it to the top. So Hamid needs to be called out for going above and beyond. According to the guy who had the wrong bag the Hotel just loaded up all of bags and it wasn’t their fault either. Clearly problems with hotel processes and management.
Excellent overall experience. Would definitely recommend this trip of Morocco to friends and family. Morocco is a beautiful country with beautiful, kind and welcoming people. We felt safe and secure and didn't have to think about anything except enjoying ourselves.
